Unable to get approval for SBI Cashback CC?

I already have SimplyClick 5 years old card, but when I applying for Cashback card , they keep rejecting the application every time.
Is there any trick of approval for Cashback credit card for existing sbi card holders?

Tried applying for the SBI cashback card and they took all details online and at the end where it asks to do KYC, there are 2 options, one is VKYC and other is Bank verify (where it;'s clearly stated 2nd option is quicker). I clicked on it and the message pops up saying I cant get the card due to internal policies.. Then why take me all that far?? I already hold 2 active CCs with them. Hope I cant get this card as it's my 2nd try this quarter.

Same happened with me

I tried both options for me and my wife, both applications were rejected even though maintaining salary accounts. I raised the issue to Nodal officer and awaiting for the reply.

Ask the reason of rejection with the person who have called you for KYC. These credit card sales department executives will tell you the reason.
It's very difficult to get proper answer from customer care department.

I am holding bpcl card from may 2023. After 6 months ( i.e., Nov 18th ) . I applied for CASHBACK card , provided salary slips, bank acc statement and completed vkyc on 28 Nov. My application was on hold and final decision date was changed repeatedly. I escalated to principal nodal still the response is same and decision date is 11 January.

Its almost 45days and now i can see the application was rejected due to internal policies. Again i raised complaint to principal nodal to enclose the reason for rejection to avoid my mistake in future. Today i got a call but the answer was same " Due to internal policies" .
I told him i will raise this to RBI Ombudsman still he is giving same answer.

If i loop RBI Ombudsman mail id in the same mail chain and explain this . Will it would be helpful?

Hi all , i applied sbi cashback card last week Monday/Tuesday midnight . It said I am eligible and after kyc it's shows 2L limit . Then after did final submit it was showing we will in 12 to 24hrs .
Still it's showing same when ever I click track applications.

Friday i got a call from sbi and said after 24hrs click retrieve application then you will see card generation like 0 to 100% then card will show .

But nothing happened like that . It's still showing same message that validating.

Any one faced same scenario?

Nothing will happen. You will get the standard reply that due to internal policy. Even if you raised the complaint to RBI, they might call you and give some weird reason.

they can only give the reasons for rejecting, cannot approve based on the RBI Complaint

It's not error , but I am seeing the same message while tracking or retrieve application for last 1 week.

Same result even after having 800+ CIBIL, good salary and SimplyClick card. They have declined me twice in last 18 months.

I applied for SBI Cashback card back in Sep-2022 (shortly after it was launched). Approval took 20-25 days with limit of 10K.
My brother applied in Nov-2023 through Cashkaro. It got approved in 5 days with limit of 3.75L !!

I have read somewhere in this forum. SBI doesnt approve CB card as a first SBI card.
