Updating HDFC Registered Mobile Number - DIY Online

Wanted to change my RMN of HDFC to my secondary number from my primary, as I have HDFC Swiggy CC LTF offer on my secondary number and I can't change my Swiggy RMN...

So, here is my experience of changing my HDFC RMN, as it happens..
It seems I need to wait for 48 hours from the request time..

Steps:

1) Need to login to Self Service web site:


2) Provide , current RMN and OTP, and give the new RMN and OTP and authenticate via DC / net banking etc..

3) Wait for 48 hours to get this into effect.. We have an option to cancel this RMN change request within 48 hours of request time, just in case if it was done without our knowledge..

I received an email immediately and followed by another email after 12 hours saying that I got 36 hours to cancel this RMN change request,in case I changed my mind or someone else intitiated the change request..

This afternoon received another email notification.. saying that I have 36 hours to cancel the request ...

They rejected my family members Swiggy credit card application as it was applied from a different mobile number. When I asked them to review my application they asked me to change the mobile number of existing credit card to review my application. If I change mobile number of existing credit card then after How many days I can change it back to primary mobile number after approval of Swiggy credit card.
Did you change the no.? Hdfc also rejected my swiggy cc application saying no. mismatch and asking me to change my existing card mobile no. to secondary one from which i applied cc to review my application. I can't change my primary no. Any way for this?
 
I just got it done via this method. Is done in 48 hours only for HDFC Bank account. Since it didn't happen for credit cards simultaneously I called Customer Care and they said it would take another 2-3 days for the new mobile number to be updated on HDFC Bank credit cards. Has been nearly 48 hours since bank account was updated with new mobile number, no sign of change on credit cards yet.

As @SSV pointed out, you get emails and multiple text messages saying you can stop the process before the change is made. Even once done for bank account you get many SMS messages saying "Successful! Your request for Update Mobile Number was successfully completed online (SR# XXXXXXX). Have received this message at least 20+ times since the past 2 days. On old number got one SMS which said new mobile number had been updated in HDFC Bank Cust ID XXXXXXXX on DATE.
