Users currently holding Amex Platinum Travel, Amex Platinum Reserve and Amex Gold Charge card are getting these offers.

For the heavy spenders, this is a great deal since you get multiple loyal hotel loyal memberships and do anything concierge service.

If you don't spend a lot of money but feel the points can help, you can still upgrade for the points.


If you don't need the points, you can get the Amex Platinum Travel or the Amex MRCC card which remains the best card for monthly spends between 6K-40K.

My dad had couple of Amex cards way back in 90s but he scrapped them after 10-15 years of use... I had recently got MRCC an year ago and hoping for another one in an year or two if they offer them LTF...

In 2016 or 2017 early they had mrcc ltf offer campaign. Now difficult unless u have plat chg and remaining card becomes companion cards.

Applied on 3rd, (revert by amex + platinum charge form filled + vykc) on 4th, approved 5th and received on 6th Jan'24. Upgraded from LTF MRCC.

Glad to join this forum. Came across it via Technofino's youtube videos.
Very briefly, I received the 135K MR points based on my Platinum Travel card usage that is completing its first year. I accepted it due to the high bonus and I am hoping to use the travel benefits. I received the card and have mixed reviews of the Concierge so far. Now they are informing me that the existing Platinum Travel card cannot be considered a companion card and renewal fee is likely to be charged for it when it comes due in March.
I was told this will automatically become a companion card while applying.
Has anyone else faced this? Any recommendations?

Also, disappointed that the flight prices through the MR multiplier link are 15-20% higher when booking through MMT/Flipkart versus booking directly through the airline website..

So does that mean even if you continue to use the Plat Charge Card this year (second year) they will not make Plat Travel a companion card ?

Also, what was the arrangement last year (1st year) when u got the Plat Charge card ? That time had they adjusted the Plat Travel card charges ?

I am still shopping for the right deal for economy tickets via SQ to Bali. After some exploration the difference between MMT and SQ direct is still >10%. Will decide in a day or too as I am waiting for some of my wife's Inifinia points to transfer to her SQ account. They will take 7 business days to complete the transfer.. May just bite the bullet sooner as tickets are getting sold out.

I did however get a reasonable deal through the Amex Fine Hotels booking option with free upgrade, $100 credits and some additional benefits (not disclosed). Unfortunately there is no multiplier in points by booking airline or hotel through Amex though (seems to be available in the US version at least)

If you are receiving the Plat Charge card in this latest offer (of 135k points) then you ought to get the Plat Travel as a companion card. Many have got it in this offer

Better try connecting again with them or negotiate hard with the next rep

They reversed my GOLD charge fees (as proportion basis) as well

They partially reversed Travel card fees as well (as they converted in to companion one)

Finally got Amex platinum charge card approved.

Platinum Travels stays, Gold Charge card stays. New Trifecta Plat Charge, Gold Charge, Plat Travel.

@D7162 your contact escalation worked. The guy who called was very helpful and Plat travel is companion card to plat charge card now. Even on 24-25L ITR also they accepted. @V360 seems you’re right on aggressive approval, anyways done with this process.
