If you go in the store and pay with card the swiper is under grocery, the swiper kept at the fuel dispensers is fuel category.
Happened to me twice, redeemed vouchers for fuel. They asked to pay in the store, showed as grocery.
 
Bob snapdeal rupay best for scanning. You get surcharge waiver 2 times somehow. So it's 1% more profit than direct swiping.

Currently Holding Four Rupay Cards
1) Tata Neu
2) Axis Indian Oil
3) Coral Rupay
4) SBI SimplySave

With Tata Neu and Coral, I'm not seeing any surcharge + GST added at all! It means I don't have to rely on those "surcharge waiver" benefits that other cards offer (which get reflected in the statement later anyway).

On the other hand, with SBI SimplySave and Axis Indian Oil, I'm getting hit as usually we get with the standard fuel surcharge + GST (though they reverse it for those ₹400-4,000 transactions).


So, Please add your valuable experience you got while using other RuPay credit cards that you are holding. And please do mention which Rupay cards do/don't levy surcharges on UPI spends at Fuel Stations.

It will be really helpful if somebody provides insights on below cards too.

Whenever I pay via TATA NEU INFINITY RUPAY, I get the surcharge waiver, QR SCAN.

I also pay via Neu Infinity Rupay QR scan. In the first place, I am not even charged anything extra as surcharge. So nothing to be waived off at all. No question of waiver when surcharges is not even charged. Direct petrol price only. Nothing more, nothing less.

Same thing in ICICI Coral Rupay too till last month...TATA too will follow...let's C :thinking-face:

😄ALL CAPS. Didn’t knew that it means ‘shouting’. Thanks. Well, I was working (NEEDED CAPS ON) at that time and replying on community too, that’s why Caps On. Which app? If I remember correctly BHIM maybe since most of the time I uses this.

OK I am not sure if it has to do anything with the app.

But I always and only use Neu app and for petrol pumps QR UPI scan, never I have been charged single paise extra than the exact fuel cost.
No surcharge, no GST whatsoever.
