I currently hold HDFC Millennia (7+ years) and Neu Infinity (4 months), and have been stuck with my current credit limit for over 2 years now. I have no defaults and I also have a salary account with the bank, but that never helped in moving the needle. I have also tried every trick suggested to me to trigger a credit limit enhancement or an upgrade from the bank without any success.
  • I have underspent (less than 10k a month for 6 months)
  • I have overspent (more than 3L in a quarter)
  • I took a second card in Tata Neu Infinity and spent 1.9L in the first 3 months
  • I wrote to the CC team, grievance redressal, priority redressal, escalation desk, and PNO
  • I spoke with my corporate RM, and escalation contact
  • I even spoke to my RM (this must tell you how desperate I must have gotten)
But every time it is the same thing. Either they ask me to wait another 6 months, or they tell me that I already have the best limit they can offer. What also annoys me is that HDFC has quoted my credit limit (4.5L) as a reason for not offering Regalia Gold and DCB, even though Regalia Gold isn't on the same level as DCB. They are offering Diners Privilege to me on FYF basis but aren't giving a higher limit with the upgrade.

I am fresh out of ideas and, to be honest, a bit frustrated after seeing people getting their Neu cards converted to LTF, receiving everything from 10% to 200% limit enhancements, LTF Swiggy, and LTF Regalia Gold on corporate offers (which I also qualify, btw) while I get nothing. So, I would love to know if there's anything I can do in order to tip the scales in my favour?

I am also in same situation, but as per my understanding Spending has nothing to do with CLE. In my case it's over leverage issue due to which they are denying. You may check the same and close un-used or multiple cards from same bank.

Bro, So many people are in the same boat.

I sent my salary slips to chennai and even ITR again, still they say that I have best limit of 1.5 lakhs for my Neu infinity.

My monthly salary/ ITR is way way way higher than limits they mentioned in their site.

You can threaten them to remove your salary account and relationship with the bank to different Bank specially ICICI as they are the biggest competitor of HDFC.
Or trying sending your documents to Chennai Office for Limit Increment Offer & Upgrade at the same time
Or try to shift your branch this also works sometimes other branches negotiate with you to keep you as a Customer if you are a HNI
Or Try closing your card and apply fresh ( Not Recommended as the card is 7yrs old)

My limit is 45K from the beginning (Since April 2023) already have 2 emis on the card but no limit increase last month I was charged the annual fees called the customer care for fees reversal I was sort of 11 thousand from the 1Lk threshold first they were not listening I asked them to close the card I will pre pay the emis soon they said no need to close the card fees reversal request taken within a day it was reflecting only has to pay the GST which is fine after the emi Ends I will close the card and apply fresh If don't receive a LE by then.
Also the Lounge Access Not works on Tata Neo Plus Card Rupay Tried Multiple Times on different lounges most of the places they are rejecting the HDFC lower varient cards from giving lounge access

You can add card to dreamfolks website and generate qr for entry. No need to give physical card for swipe.
Tried that once but at the entry it's was rejected I had to use a different card
That's why I preferred IDFC cards no issue mostly works on every lounge and also dreamfolks website pass also works when I am not traveling with my family I have 3 accounts with IDFC and soon converting the new account to select and add the other accounts under family banking so I will have total 6+6 (3 cards 2 per card )lounge access per quarter which is more than sufficient for me

Ahh ,frustration with HDFC bank us nothing new ,lot of people in the same boat my friend ,including me

I'll just give you tldr...with hdfc you need to have one of 3 things to get limit enhancement and card upgrades
- highly motivated bank employee willing to help you
- contacts in higher ups within the bank
- willingness to buy their not so good Financial products, like ulips

Let tell you a story ,a friend of mine has DCB Plastic LTF with 5L ,not getting LE or Upgrade to Infinia even after trying everything,
then i told him about asking ulip to the bank employee ,and suddenly the their tone changed ,the manager directly called my friend, told him salary doesn’t matter ,spends doesn’t matter ,credit limit doesn’t matter, he'll get a deviation for everything and will get him Infinia in his hands within 2 months
He didn't go for it though, it requires 1L investment per year for 5 years Minimum, returns start after 15 yrs

Nothing triggers HDFC infinia approval. But rejection triggers sorrow.

we are on the same boat,
What I did is I've closed all my 3 cards with them and freshly applied for TATA Neu Infinity and it was instantly approved with 1.8L limit
I had moneyBack+ with 70k limit
If you wish you can try this method but as ur card is 7 yrs old It may impact ur Credit score a bit
If you have cards older than this HDFC card You can surely try this method

My limit is 45K from the beginning (Since April 2023) already have 2 emis on the card but no limit increase last month I was charged the annual fees called the customer care for fees reversal I was sort of 11 thousand from the 1Lk threshold first they were not listening I asked them to close the card I will pre pay the emis soon they said no need to close the card fees reversal request taken within a day it was reflecting only has to pay the GST which is fine after the emi Ends I will close the card and apply fresh If don't receive a LE by then.

Finnally Got a Limit Increment Offer After a Year of Usage I used to check on MyCards Application but it always shows I am having the maximum limit but today checked on the website it's showing I am Eligible for Higher Limit form 45K - 74K(64.44% increased)

we can ignore hdfc cards and still live happily, which I have discovered a decade ago.

Man! I wish that were true for me. Bigbasket and Swiggy are in the top 3 of online platforms in terms of my spends, amazon being the third. I also have a really high annual spending on insurance, where Neu Infinity shines.

I genuinely wanted to step away from HDFC, but they keep coming up with great cobranded cards. I am honestly considering the Swiggy as well, but even without it, there are no cards that can rival Neu Infinity and Millennia at the moment. SBI Cashback is a good alternative for Millennia, but closing a core card to hold just cobranded ones seems like a bad move. And when it comes to salary accounts, my company gives me the option to choose between HDFC, ICICI, Axis and SBI. I don't think I am too far off when I call HDFC the lesser evil (I have had an SBI account for 13 years, and there's no way I would rate them higher than HDFC)
