Year End Offer: Lifetime Free HDFC Bank Credit Cards

A friend of mine living in Hyderabad recently opened account with HDFC (precisely in June, 2024) and have received his first LTF offer from HDFC as Biz Grow Visa and Biz Grow (Rupay) with 1L limit only. Was extensively using his Platinum card for 75K every month since June and having Savings Max. acc. with profile being Self Employed as he runs an IT business and yearly income Above 10L. So DC charges also waived due to Savings Max.

I checked Biz Grow benefits and it is okay card for Biz people or individual tax payers with 10X pts on Tax Payments incl. GST payments and on Payzapp Billpay also 10X pts. Normal is 2 pts/150. So max. it can give is 3.33-4% to him. I suggested him to go for Biz Grow RuPay so that UPI goes well with this card as this seems a core HDFC card. He already have SBI SimplySave RuPay. Later he can expect upgrade next year but LTF cards rarely give upgrades. LE will be possible for him (say after 6-9 months) as he will use it extensively for GST payments and advance taxes mostly.

Anyone having this card or HDFC Biz Cards like Power Biz which has same benefits or any suggesstion whether it will be a good choice or he should wait more?

My suggestion- ask him to get a core card like Millennia, DCP or RG right now under year end offers and later apply a biz card as a floater

This is also a core card but I get your point. The only cards showig for him are BizFirst (worst of all and having 500+GST as issuance and renewal) and BizGrow (VISA) LTF and BizGrow (RuPay) LTF.

I asked him to visit Millennia page and click on Apply. After entering through it, same cards shown by HDFC. So seems for Millennia or other cards he will have to go to branch.

Millennia is better than Regalia, but not better than Regalia Gold.

Both cards are for different usecase. One is more like a shopping card, while the other is a lifestyle card. Regalia Gold has its own catalog in smartbuy and offers decent rewards.

People just need to learn how to use regalia gold as a substitute for millennia. There are many threads on TF regarding that as well.

But, if one doesn't travel much and doesn't care about flights/hotels. Definitely, millennia is the better choice.
Can you compare Millennia and Regalia ?
If one person use 4 L in a year then which card have best outcome ?

Definitely millennia.

You will receive better rewards, and it also offers a 1K voucher per quarter with spends of 1L. You’ll get a 4K voucher and no fees, as your spending will already cover it. Plus, you’ll get a straight 5% discount on few merchants Flipkart/Amazon/Myntra/Uber/Zomato etc.

With the 5% on Amazon, you can pay most bills directly through Amazon. Win-win for you.

And 1% flat cb on every online and offline transaction.
That's why I am not going to upgrade my LFT millinnia to FYF RG.
CC also refused to change my upgrade offer from FYF to LTF RG

Yea, lately upgrades are not LTF anymore, especially from regalia gold to upper cards.
