I have the same doubt here. I have a salary account but I took myzone paid card in November. I contacted the branch and they said they will tell me at that time to raise a card closure request and then I will get converted to LTF.

Mine converted to LTF yesterday. But need to wait for 7 more days to confirm

I tried to bargain with two agents last week one on call and another on chat, both of them denied for LTF. However, this time it worked for me. The agent connected to senior where she agreed to make it LTF and also reverse the annual fee if levied.

I believe it all depends on the agent

Once I applied for LTF ACE but the application got rejected as I was holding 3 Axis Cards that time 🦁. Holding a paid ACE now, my favourit one 😆.
