I just called Phone banking today for my CC bill payments. They informed me that CC bill payments would no longer yield 1% CB through billpay.

bhai card to chal raha hai, bs platform different use karna hai. In fact it is good for us that we are getting more options to pay using hdfc platinum debit card.

haan bhai, but they will plug this loophole too. Anyway, ek saal ke liye account open kar hi leta hoon, no harm in that.

HDFC had been promoting bill payments through billpay for CC for a long time(with 1% cashback as a benefit). I remember receiving emails stating the same as well. 😛

guess while other portals can be used to pay via HDFC DC, users of non BBPS billers like AMEX are all out of options right now!

Yes. In the t&c there was no mention of the exclusion either. But I guess they now realise new accounts were just being opened to pay cc bills. XD

Use SBI Unipay and Jio finance app for credit card bill payment, you will get 2.5% cashback upto 400 per month on HDFC Millennia Debit Card.

"Credit Card BillPay transactions made through Debit Card will NOT earn any CashBack points with immediate effect as this is not an eligible category for the same."


Updates:
As per the members reports the working portals are SBI Unipay website, Jio Finance app, Airtel Thanks app and Canara Setu website. Please use as per your own discretion.

As long as jio/unipay give utility mcc code for cc bill payment the hdfc platinum dc will give 1% cb & till now no reports of them changing their mcc code from utility.

Today I was trying to pay outstanding for BoB CC , Unipay was showing no dues.

Irrespective of that I entered the desired amount and surprisingly it went through and payment was successfully received on Card.
