Infinia HDFC Infinia "requesting" 1.5 lakhs spend per month?

what is MDC?
Mithun Da Cycle

Which means, for those whose spends are not aligned with smartbuy, infinia will be a cycle the way it shielded Mithun Da above.

Even I received sad news. Just thinking about 1st line of the spend condition.
"Valued customer". Valued customer ko itna spend krne bola h. To non-Valued customers ka kya hoga.🤣

Copy terms and conditions applied | unsubscribe part from the bottom of the email page and paste in apple notes or keep notes (not as plain text). You'll see the magic 🤣🤣
you are just 4 hours late to the magic..
Magic show already finished for the day !! ;)

Infinia helpline never tries to sell any investment plans, are you sure you faced something like that?
I do find Infinia/ Imperia helpline to be well at par with Amex (however amex CS has deteriorated currently)
Agreed. I find Infinia / imperia support is even better than Amex

One thing for sure, hdfc doesnt do anything just for time pass. And they definately didnt waste their mailserver bandwidth just to send a mass-email newsletter.

They surely know that this email will cause some panic and concern for the public, specially the ones who knows their top cc.

My take on this - Many got infinia cc, they are not using the cc as it is supposed to be, for high spend. If you ask 10 people here, 9 of them want infinia for its perks, for spends, they have other cards, which might gives more rewards etc.

So maybe a devaluation of infinia will arrive sooner than expected. Lets face it, considering the indian finance after election and whats going on around the world, a top bank should have to surely adjust their terms and conditions of use, looking forward into the future. And the bank need to upgrade as well, providing better means to make money for the bank, that means new cc as well.

Maybe this is the 1st of many emails to come in the coming days from hdfc. Thry might send specefic emails to other cc owners as well.

And the much awaited reserve. One thing forsure, they will give reserve to few chosen ones, maybe high spenders, and hence the email to infinia owners, to use your cc, and they might start the internal lottery to choose from the list of top spenders of infinia.

As my metal infinia is LTF, I don't really bother about spending much on this unless it was required..
Too many other cards also to spend to get immediate benefit.
Need to maintain some sort of spend level on this...

Or may be this is the first step to devalue Infinia, paving way for impending Infinia Reserve announcement.... I guess.
Interesting year ahead...

Infinia Reserve's arrival was kick started today silently, in the background ...!!

Current Infinia isnt that premium .. if they are launching Infinia reserve, it cant be the same benefits of Infinia with them devaluing the current infinia.

If HDFC are really offering a truly high end premium limited card, it shouldnt affect the Infinia benefits.. the two shouldnt overlap.

they already limited big basket gvs to 1500/month.. they can limit the store specific gvs .. that is the kind of devaluation that might stop the traders of gvs who are misusing the card.. will hurt some real users too, but if they have to stop the bleed, that is one way.

the other benefits are not that extravagant.. kya hi devalue karega isme.

12500 ka fee ke baad there isnt much room for deval on the current infinia metal.

High Chances. They have been teasing about Infinia Reserve card for almost 2 years now.

Reserve is UNDER the lnfinia flagship itself. It will be the new infinia, AFTER the metal infinia.

If we are already starting the guessworks -

I would say the charges will be around 30k+

Will have meet & greet services, most probably with adani. As icici already introduce its tie up with adani with 2 new cc. Maybe hdfc is next.

And i thiiinnnk, 80% chance of having the reserve cc under Diners network (cause icici + adani got cc in visa network, and hdfc just loves diners network too much).

Reserve will be a top lifestyle cc, so it wont be a co-branded cc with just 1 company. Rather little perks with many companies. Maybe marriott bonvoy gold membership as well. Hdfc has been testing with their marriott cc for one year already. So they definately have all the required data.

Sure.. it can have the current benefits ++ stuff like meet and greet / airport drop off and other lifestyle offers .. (bonvoy/epicure membership , better concierge , golf , whatever)
My point was, the current Infinia metal at 12500+gst is pretty expensive to begin with.. how much will they devalue this? maybe cap gift vouchers from smartbuy to 5/10k per brand per month.. not much else

3.3% isnt extravagant.
Lounge access.. at that fee should be expected.. even the plastic infinia and the DCB cards have that.. if its getting devalued, those will go before Infinia.

I'm not too worried about the devaluation on Infinia..I am wondering if they'll offer me an upgrade to the new card and what the charges for that would be

If its 30k+gst and they are giving back 30k points, I would consider that upgrade for the meet and greet :D :D

Ya right. How much can they devalue before it overlaps with a lower tier card?

With infinia metal, you only pay the gst, equivalent points are already been provided with the card. In terms of devaluation - i dont think they will devalue the smartbuy much, as its already at its lowest and its their own star product.

Lounge access are pretty basic perks now a days. They can limit the addon and guest access, primary will unlimited forsure.

If the fees is high, they should give equivalent points to compensate as well, just like the metal infinia version. But doing that, the meet and greet will be only 2x or 4x yrly.

And banks work together, they have to. They have their own norms and terms, which they have to report to rbi. One bank cannot offer a god-cc, making all other banks weak, no matter how much they wanted to do so.

Even if devaluation occurs, it will still be a more rewarding card than Regalia Gold? @SSV
Yes, definitely .. they will respect the hierarchy ... Even if infinia reserve comes , Infinia will have its place and Infinia will be a pre-requisite (sort of) to get IR.
