Did the exact steps @Dobbiee suggested.

Did a manual pay after bill showed up in scheduled for 2500.. no RP.

Did an automated pay after bill showed up in scheduled for 6900 .. got RP.

So looks like autopay works if it pays 4 days before due date automatically. If you trigger it manually , it doesn't give rp.

I have a salary account, had my ESP since atleast a year .

Is there a way to change this "Amount will be debited within 4 days prior to the due date, once the bill is generated."

I get anxious waiting for the date to reach 4 days before due. Any idea how long does it take to autopay to get triggered?

I get more clear message. Last time it said:
Amt will be debited within 4 days before 26-Feb-2025.
 
As things are going, it should be eligible for cashback as it most probably falls under utility category.
Whatever it is we will find out in 2 days once you tell us (I hope you do).
Been more than 2 working days doesn't look like I am getting it.

How do I find out _why_ I didn't get it? Call customer support? Is there an email I can reach out to?

Whats the merchant code that you are getting in the statement.

Also were all following steps fulfilled.
  1. While registering other bank CC Biller, 'SmartPay Enabled' should be mentioned there.
  2. CC Bill generated should get registered in the 'Scheduled'. (an sms would also come mentioning word 'SmartPay').
  3. Let the payment happen on auto mode. (Another sms would come 2-3 days before auto payment, it would also have word 'SmartPay').
  4. Amount of bill generated and paid should match. During payment it would not ask for OTP/PIN.
  5. The merchant name showing in statement would be - DCSI-BBPSBILLPAY
 
Somehow Amazonpay CC bill didnt come into scheduled state.... eventhough it was enabled for smartpay... so had to pay manually....
anyone else facing same issue with apay cards?
or is it because i alrdy paid icici apay bill once manually in the past beforw three months....
need to chk again next month...

Do a re-boot (the best IT solution). 😉
Delete and re-register the card.
