Whats the merchant code that you are getting in the statement.

Also were all following steps fulfilled.

1. While registering other bank CC Biller, 'SmartPay Enabled' should be mentioned there.
2. CC Bill generated should get registered in the 'Scheduled'. (an sms would also come mentioning word 'SmartPay').
3. Let the payment happen on auto mode. (Another sms would come 2-3 days before auto payment, it would also have word 'SmartPay').
4. Amount of bill generated and paid should match. During payment it would not ask for OTP/PIN.
5. The merchant name showing in statement would be - DCSI-BBPSBILLPAY

Hey hold on, it was not a CC bill at all. I thought credit card payments are no longer eligible for 1% cash back anyway right?

This was ACT Internet / Broadband bill via HDFC's netbanking 'Pay Bills' UI

I am going to set up SmartPay / Auto pay and see if it makes a difference for next month.

yes faced with my icici apay card... i had this card bill manually paid long back... not sure if thats the reason... but i had deleted that and added newly.. even then didnt work...

RP posted today for CC bill payment done on 04.03.2025 using HDFC Plat DC



Here's how I did:

02.03.2025 - I registered biller (IndusInd CC) on the bill payment portal through Mobile app. In my case, the bill was already due with a date 07.03.25.

03.03.2025 - I got SMS alert that bill will be autopaid within 4 days before the due date.


04.03.2025 - Amount was debited from account and SMS came that bill was auto paid successfully



Since the transaction particulars showed BBPSBILL I was hopeful of getting RP as many people here posted. But I guess it took more time to get posted than usual. Anyways I'm glad I didn't jump the gun by swapping my Plat DC to Millenia 😎
