Introduction

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is set to launch RuPay credit cards with all major banks in the coming years. RuPay currently offers three main credit card variants:

1. RuPay Classic (Basic/Standard)
2. RuPay Platinum (Premium) // includes SwiggyOne, Spa, Gift Cards, and more.
3. RuPay Select (Super Premium)

There are also two sub-types under RuPay Select:

1. RuPay Select
2. RuPay Select Wellness (includes Gym, Spa, Golf programs, and more).

Key Features of RuPay Credit Cards

• International Acceptance: Supported by Discover Financial Services, Diners Club International, Pulse, and JCB.
• Free Benefits: Lounge access, wellness perks, and e-commerce offers.
• Bank Offers: RuPay cards are eligible for the same offers as Visa/Mastercard (e.g., 10% discounts on Amazon, Flipkart).
• No Discrimination Between Networks: If your Visa/Mastercard is lifetime free, the RuPay equivalent will also be lifetime free.

1. RuPay cards are on par with Visa/Mastercard in terms of offers and features.
2. Newly launched RuPay cards might not immediately qualify for e-commerce offers—contact the bank for updates (Everything starts working perfectly after a few months).

Bob world & baroda connect works with bbps.

I tried all others even BBPS can't fetch my bills even Gpay fails just says biller is down , bob just allows to credit a manual tried various platform to no avail.

I will just pay it now and see what happens, anyone else facing this with bob.

Bob works fine on cred, paytm, hdfc billpay, bajaj finserv.and bob ows online payment gateway where u can use even debit card.. ... I have paid my bills in last 1 months from them... All went smoothly....

Eterna before master card ban was exclusive to master card... They even stopped issuance of it due to master card issue... Now they are issuing in visa... And mostly since master card is back... It might again become master card exclusive

I don't think they will launch eterna on rupay... Till there is zero mdr charges.and also they make good profits on other rupay cards like on easy and premier.... .... Most probably it will again be mastercard exclusive as it was earlier... Unless visa give them some very lucrative offer.....

Zero MDR only for RuPay debit cards.

RuPay credit cards already have MDR 2% to 3%, depend on card variant but BOB Eterna is now Ultra Premium card.

Currently, No Ultra Premium tier card available on RuPay.

By the way BOB support told BOB Select card will soon available on RuPay and offline BOB branches told BOB Select card available on RuPay (currently, no one confirm yet).

Jcb is a international payment gateway...its a Japanese company ... Rupay cards can do international transactions on jcb network........ As rupay is a domestic card network based out of india....

So in simple words, Rupay itself is essentially different from Rupay JCB, right?

Yes.

RuPay card numbers start with 508, 60, 81 and 82 are 100% RuPay cards (accept on any RuPay network in India and outside India like Bhutan, Nepal, UAE, Singapore, Bahrain etc).

This cards also have RuPay EMV chip.

E-com payment - RuPay card work on Paysecure and recently indigenously developed "BEPG" 3D secure e-com gateway network.

RuPay BEPG currently support INR payment and also planning to acquire International currency, 2 years ago, RuPay support told me this thing about BEPG gateway -

Now RuPay-Discover card and RuPay-JCB card number start with 65 and 35 (in India, card work on RuPay card network but outside India card work on Discover Global card network or JCB Global card network and their alliance partner card network like Amex card, Unionpay card, Brazil's Elo card, Turkey's Troy card, UAE's Mercury card, Singapore's NETS card, South Korea's BC Card etc).

This cards have Discover Global card EMV chip called "D-PAS EMV chip" or JCB Card have JCB EMV chip, i think officially called "J/Smart EMV chip".

E-com payment - Well, within India e-com payment work on RuPay's Paysecure/BEPG e-com gateway and support only INR currency payment.

Outside India - e-com payment work on Discover's "ProtectBuy" e-com gateway or JCB's "J/Secure" e-com gateway and support multi-currency payment except INR.

because the use jcb network for international payments.....the ones using discover network...have discover written...but on back of the card....like hdfc rupay platinum card use discover network...
