enter password, unlock the statement.

account statement

select, account type and account number

click view

it displays product type (which is your account type)

in account details section also it displays accoutn type and required balance

btw, when you select account type, you'll know which account type you have.
Thanks for the details.

Product Type displays as "SAVINGS - RESIDENTS"

And under Account details no details reg Account type and required balance

Account Type while selecting it shows Savings Account. If Salary account, does it display as "Salary Account"?

yes, yours is normal savings account and have to maintain 10k/5k depends on branch location.

If you're getting salary in that account, check with branch and convert to salary account.

or upgrade to savingsmax (in that case also account type is savings but product type is savings max), better one than regular savings account.

check the same in desktop browser (not mobile desktop mode, actual desktop browser).
It's opened as a Salary account only.

what's the process of upgradation?

I think for HDFC what matters is the product code. The only way I know to find it is either download any time statement or if you are receiving estatements then check there.
100 code is for Regular savings account
193 code is for Savings Max account

What code are you seeing in your statement?

Mine is SAVINGS - CORPORATE SALARY TYPE 2

Any Idea if it gets downgraded to savings if i stop receiving salary in this account? Or will it just stay like this?

1. What happens when one switches company? Does account type change?

2. Also what happens if we stop working and start our own businesses or retire etc

3. What happens to credit cards when we retire?
