Axis bank upgrade of cards through customer care is stopped

Most of you know that if we use an axis bank credit card for 3 or more months , we can upgrade to other card by calling through customer care.

Meanwhile , I am trying to upgrade one of my axis bank credit card through customer care from Tuesday (2/8/22) and they were keep on informing that due to some technical issue we can't upgrade the card.

Today I called the customer care , they said RBI has asked axis bank to stop taking requests from phone banking and if we require any new cards we have to apply through branch or net banking or mobile app.

@TechnoFino @anirbanm Can you please confirm the same by asking your resources and inform us.

Before asking to customer care for card upgrade,make sure you do the below step .

Axis offering Limit Enhancement for all customers , no message alerts , go to app and check for limit increase.

I myself tried and for my friends also Limit Enhancement was given that too much a minimum of 50k.

No offer for me. I took the card in July with just 50k limit.
 
why the hell I'm not getting LE offer. flipkart card is over 7 months old. called them to upgrade to airtel card. they said no upgrade or LE offer on this card.

but on my myzone card which i got just 1 month ago, they are providing upgrade to either flipkart or neo.
They are providing LTE to old customers as doe to COVID 19 they didnt provide LTE for the last 2 years.

Call customer care and ask like you need an additional card and merge the limits , axis bank customer care people are very bad in english i personally feel , as i am from south need to speak them in English.

If u r speaking to them in hindi , then may be you got a guy which doesnt know about upgrade , call them and ask for additional card and merge the limits.
