Axis Magnus Blocked my card terrible experience

On 30th april and about 10k short of reaching milestone spends.
Made a genuine transaction yesterday ans they blocked my credit card temporarily.
When I call and request to get it unblocked they take 1 buainess day.
They definitely are daft, after reaching this close to my milestone and not being able to get there because of this reason, will definitely irk me and I would honestly juat cancel this card the moment all my milestone points are credited.
I use HDFC and they unblock it at the same time.
Any suggestions to do this quickly? I am this close to my milestone spend.
 
Very rightly said. It takes a lot of experience to get the maximum value out of those ER points. There is the bank is profiting the most as new users don't know that
I agree.
Have been checking the airmiles usage and is definitely a hassle for first time users.
Singapore for example you get it for 40k miles + tax and you can possibly get the ticket 40k rupees.

Axis 2 months gives you 52k edge rewards which becomes 44k airmiles on normal spends. This can get devalued at any point.

44k means a an airline ticket, + 6k taxes.
So you are getting a real value of 13-14k.
Then everytime you make a airmiles transfer its a hassle. Pretty much feels a part time job with all of these things especially if you do it the first time.
 
Yet you are ranting about your experience and asking about others opinions.

I was asking for suggestions on how to get a way or shortcut to get this unblocked quickly.
Read my last line on original post.
I was looking for resolution suggestions, not a lecture and saying oh its your fault for making spends on the last day.
clearly feels like a lot of magnus fanatics are around here.

I am 100% frustrated. Why would I deny that? If something has not happened to you, does not mean its right?

You are too much in a hurry to express your dissatisfaction with Axis, that you didn't even read my initial comment properly.
 
If you put card closure request they might compensate you with 10k ER points for your loss
Yeah they still have today to unblock it.
They said officially its a day, but unofficially i will try for 4-5 hours.
Lets see.
Closure idk, i have around 70k + rewards lined up for feb and march.
They might not even credit it if they actually go ahead with the cancellation process.
I'll write an email anyway and ask for compensation but pretty sure it will fall on deaf ears.
 
@diablorojo8 Try placing closure request Over call & state your reason for closure lets see what they say.

But I do not want to keep it after this experience.
I keep on repeating this phrase,
Experience is what matters overall in anything.
Amex, in spite of providing less rewards than competition is only famous for the experience and customer satisfaction it provides.
I am glad, we're in good terms and hope to continue the same.
A small advice, please be mindful of writing next time, as sometimes our intentions might not be such, but the words used can be opposite.

i am so so surprised about the time they take to unblock. HDFC is near instant. I just cant wrap my head around and the time required.
And I cannot even unblock via my app. Even IDFC allows you to do it yourself. I can remember if it was a SMS or in the app but can be done.
Automated yes no calls are perfect, yet they do not have it.

The unblocking for axis happens Ik about 4 hours in working time
It should get active again by 3-4 PM .

They don't take closure request directly.
The customer care will transfer to the retention team then and there itself.
After the call is with retention team, they will negotiate with us on the spot for ER retention bonus.
Retention bonus is given instantly if cardholders continues to hold the card.
If they don't have any retention offer then only they directly take closing request after confirming with cardholder.

My Magnus was closed in just one mail , no retention call nothing . Card was removed from axis mobile app .

Had to escalate to PNO/MD desk to get the card reinstated

Dude I have go a little extra to get that milestone.
I would have enough points for a family trip that I can only do in september. This month was crucial to reaching that and most of my spends we're necessary and planned.
Apart from customer experience, it is basically ruined my plans for a reason that I cant even get my head around. Unblocking time takes 1 day is bad, really bad.
What if I am travelling with this card and buy something outside India and they block it? Unreliable card.
