Axis Magnus Blocked my card terrible experience

diablorojo8

TF Select
On 30th april and about 10k short of reaching milestone spends.
Made a genuine transaction yesterday ans they blocked my credit card temporarily.
When I call and request to get it unblocked they take 1 buainess day.
They definitely are daft, after reaching this close to my milestone and not being able to get there because of this reason, will definitely irk me and I would honestly juat cancel this card the moment all my milestone points are credited.
I use HDFC and they unblock it at the same time.
Any suggestions to do this quickly? I am this close to my milestone spend.

Dude I have go a little extra to get that milestone.
I would have enough points for a family trip that I can only do in september. This month was crucial to reaching that and most of my spends we're necessary and planned.
Apart from customer experience, it is basically ruined my plans for a reason that I cant even get my head around. Unblocking time takes 1 day is bad, really bad.
What if I am travelling with this card and buy something outside India and they block it? Unreliable card.
How many points do you currently have ?
And September is really close , if it’s a family trip you should be booking your award seats now Afaik

See, now that you have told your full plan as to how essential these milestones were for you,
Your frustration is appropriate in this case, until it gets passed onto others.

Now that you elaborated your situation,
I can recommend you to get an add-on card for your family member in such cases
What will happen is that, even if your primary card gets blocked.
You will still be able to transact using add-on card and your milestone will stay intact.
This is not a widely discussed strategy, but it's quite useful in case of Magnus.

What we can expect from fraud bank which operate on customers consolidated charges

Okay. Will have to see how they offer it. Definitely not an option on their app.

Will think what do after today and how they respond back.

Do not have a good history with them. Closed my bank account after 6 months.

They gave me an account with no debit card and after multiple escalations still the same. A few years back. Eventually I was frustrated and closed my account. I think I wrote a cheque transferring all money out and once it passed closed it.

I also closed within 1 year...If there is ranking for fraud bank axis definately will top it

Bro can you enlighten us why you are planning on closing your magnus if you don't mind?
He has explained the reason in previous comments on this post.

My friend, I absolutely do not care about your opinion.
I am definitely proud of keeping 23 cards.
DCB has online acceptance and even places where it doesnt I have other amex cards and can potentially opt for their travel card in place of magnus.
I am 100% frustrated. Why would I deny that? If something has not happened to you, does not mean its right?
Also not all can do the milestone easily.
I was not planning for this month and started most of my spends for some reason. Spending a lakh in 4 days was going to be hard, some were spends I 3 months prior.
I already had 2 heavy spends lines up for the next 2 months.
And crystal ball person, I have no reason to close my flipkart card. I use that a lot, especially during big billion days. One of my oldest cards. My issue is ethics and I refuse to do business with unethical or useless companies especially as my primary card.

My DCB is LTF even if the acceptance is not good, it is still free.
Axis might in the future fix this, but the closure of my card is my decision and this is a forum where we talk about this stuff.

Also you talking about oh this is the first time i am seeing this happening, maybe your sample space is small. Not all card users are on technofino, maybe it happens more than you think.
just close it if you dont want. Save on the fee at least

Just my 5 cents, don't make a simple silly experience keep you away from such a good card. Axis isn't the best, but they're fairly okay, this wasn't definitely meant to keep you away from getting your milestone. Just a coincidence, as this is done automatically on certain set of parameters or rules.

As much as you'd like to make a point to Axis or anyone here, it will be beyond pointless and nobody will care. The only one losing is you and you're throwing a lot away on such a silly thing.

Keep reaping rewards on it and juicing the card and think of it as payback or whatever makes you happy.

And stay cool, maybe log off. All you're doing is railing yourself and other people up for fairly silly things.

Even without the milestone it's still very rewarding even with the sometimes disappointing service that Axis provides.

But I'm fairly sure it isn't done on purpose and this is something you can and will experience elsewhere as well for sure.
I do not think any Indian bank provides a flawless experience, not even remotely close. I've personally faced beyond horrible customer service from ICICI and HDFC, and I would not touch them even with a 10ft pole yet everyone keeps vouching for HDFC.

Maybe due to award flight seats availability for multiple seats together?

Yes

Yes, that might be a reason for him.
Maybe, he can confirm.
But still I feel Magnus is pretty much an all rounder card out there at least for me.
I have been largely able to convert and use all accumulated ER as cash, so it does not cause any problems of availability.
