Axis Magnus Blocked my card terrible experience

On 30th april and about 10k short of reaching milestone spends.
Made a genuine transaction yesterday ans they blocked my credit card temporarily.
When I call and request to get it unblocked they take 1 buainess day.
They definitely are daft, after reaching this close to my milestone and not being able to get there because of this reason, will definitely irk me and I would honestly juat cancel this card the moment all my milestone points are credited.
I use HDFC and they unblock it at the same time.
Any suggestions to do this quickly? I am this close to my milestone spend.

It will never stop bro. All the transfer partners like hotels and flights are premium ones and expensive only. If you didn't had magnus many people wouldn't think about staying in those hotels or using those flights from points. Bank and the partners are still earning good

I think it will happen as 20k bonus instead of 25k or reduced renewal benefit or lower edge transfer value.
Amex mrcc was 1000 4 times a month which became 1500.

Update:
I pestered the axis customer care again and again until I got connected to someone who actually cared. He took 15 mins, raised it and also told me how much I need to spend to reach the milestone. Half hour later it was unblocked. Bought GVs from giftedge so they have no chance of blocking it and crossed the milestone.
7 phone calls later it is solved.

Glad Axis bank has solved the problem and made u eligible for 25k Edge Rewards

However 18k is the spent done on Airtel amazon load/bill pay where murchant was shown as "AIRTEL" and "Ras*AIRTEL"

Magnus is a very good card no doubt. But there are so many cards that are still good.
I really feel magnus party will stop someday.
such overpowered cards are usually devalued.

Magnus won't stop because I'm pretty sure most of them will not be able to extract value from their ER. It is one of the best cards out there if you know how to play the points game.

You sound like customer care.
Maybe someone can not do it 2 days prior. Not all situations are same.
The transaction is 76 rupees only.
If they cannot unblock it, the point of keeping this card becomes pointless.
Not many people can reach that milestone if they are not frequent travellers and I had planned my transactions.
This is definitely not a good customer experience and feels more like malpractice to prohibit reaching milestones.
If they do not unblock it today, I am not only closing magnus i will also consider flipkart as well.
Its a HNI card, the service has to be HNI.
HDFC may not have similar rewards, but their service is miles better and they actually unblock it over the call.
American Express is world class in these respects.
The transaction was done on LifeStyle (landmark group) and only 76. How is their software considering it as a risky transaction baffles me.

Brother I suggest to not close the magnus, I know this experience is bad, but over time it'll be good. You will not be able to earn points at the same rate anywhere else. In a year I have earned close to 218k points, which allows me atleast 2 biz class tickets, so totally worth the patience, just my humble 2 cents.

To be honest, I feel most of us riding the hype train without thinking about the relevance of benefits to our use case. If you are someone who likes to plan your holidays and likes to spend time maximizing the air miles then Magnus is the card for your. For the rest, it may not be very useful. So, everyone should decide based on their use case instead of just indulging in FOMO.

Same thing happened with me just now. 10k short of milestone spend for May. They blocked my card. My mistake is that they tried calling me 3 times but I was having dinner and didn't pickup as my phone was in other room. I have requested to unblock and also tweeted hoping for fast resolution. I need to complete the 10k transaction in next 2 hours.

Read so many posts in this thread and I thought I will post my experience.

I have been having this card since Oct last year and have beaten 1l every month and so far redeemed for 12 Vistara flights and numerous lounge visits. Since the last 2 months I have been doing United miles, which is an instant transfer. Touchwood never had any blocks and closed my 1l for this month only yesterday 😉..In addition I do have Amex Plat, SC Ult and a few others..Nothing beats Magnus as yet on the reward rate, with partial exceptions..Just be patient and the guy in the basement will credit points on the 90th day certainly without a follow up..If you are thinking long don’t be frustrated with the delays..In the end it’s all FREE stuff. May be i am an odd example, but Axis CC was on par with AMEX when I had to call them. Lady picked up in 10 secs and I had a solution in 2 mins..I was totally surprised 😮..I have been an AMEX fan for 12 years and this experience trumped me…(this is like the confidence that opposition has in their thinking of beating king Modi😂)

Patience and a plan to use are the key…Just a fun post and also some experience from the far right of the spectrum..
