Best card for JioMart

srikant

TF Premier
I live rather frugally -- apart from occasional travel, groceries are my only significant spending category (apart from significant "insurance" and minimal utilities). The physical stores near me mostly only take UPI (I have a fair few UPI cards, OK), so I make bigger grocery purchases from JioMart to put them on credit. Even they tend not to cross the 600-rupee mark BB has for free delivery, which is why JioMart.

Which cards give good rewards on JioMart? Please give options from multiple banks.

Also - supposing I use BoB Easy, PNB Platinum, Kotak Urbane or HDFC MoneyBack+, is paying via UPI on JioMart going to reward me more than directly using as a RuPay credit card?

Even a 10 rupee purchase is free delivery for BB through Tata Neu.
If you need to go to physical store and use UPI then best is Tata Neu Infinity with 1.5% RR. If they take cards then Ace with 2% RR. If you shop grocery online then SBI Cashback with 5%.
Ace would give 5% back on utilities. Don't know if it will give anything on insurance as Axis is removing insurance from their reward giving transaction list.
SBI Cashback will give 5% back on those aforementioned categories with the 'not so secret' trick.

You have an HDFC card. So, you should check out if you can buy JioMart vouchers from Gyftr. The rewards could be lucrative.

For online/offline groceries HDFC UPI Rupay credit card can also be used, someone using can confirm abt the reward, the tnc says
  • 3% Cashpoints on Groceries, SuperMarket & Dining spends & PayZapp transactions. (Maximum of 500 Points can be earned in a calendar month)
  • 2% Cashpoints on Utility spends (Maximum of 500 Points can be earned in a calendar month)
  • 1% Cashpoints on other spends (Excluding Rent, Wallet loads, EMI, Fuel & Government categories) (Maximum of 500 Points can be earned in a calendar month)
Note: The above benefits are applicable for both UPI as well as regular credit card spends.

The CashPoints earned on HDFC Bank UPI RuPay Credit Card can be redeemed against the statement balance at the rate of 1 CashPoint = ₹0.25,

Try to get IndusInd card. Pay with payment method 'Pay with Rewards' aka Twid. You'll get better discounts (around 5-10%)there using IndusInd card.

Thank you -- HDFC's offering Millenia upgrade for my MoneyBack+ - unfortunately I recently got my HDFC MoneyBack MC changed to MoneyBack+ Rupay. Let me breathe a bit before I ask them for TataNeu. Btw I hope both Plus and Infinity have this free delivery thing? I'm already comfortable with JioMart, BB would take a bit of a switch.

Probably SBI Cashback is a good option. (Provided I somehow manage LTF - with the trick of cancel from App and wait for Retention team's call.) Btw what is this 'not so secret' trick to get Insurance payment cashback?

Any specific IndusInd card?

Most of the discounts listed on JioMart's website tend to be for high-value purchases, 1.5k+ or 2k+. My purchases are usually around INR 300-500 - which is why I've not even used BB

BB will have free delivery if you order groceries via Tata Neu app. Don't order directly through BB app. Open Neu app and then open BB from inside of Neu app. It's not dependant on their cards. Through Neu app you can also find our if you're eligible for FYF or LTF Neu Infinity or not.
Also if you have SBI CB card and buy groceries online then I think you can hit 2L yearly milestone for fee waiver.
The trick is Amazon GC directly from Amazon. You can find numerous threads about this to know the limits of it. Do search in this forum.

No. Any of the IndusInd card would work.

I'm not telling you about coupon discount listed on Jiomart. This is about going through payment mode 'Pay with Rewards' and paying via IndusInd card.

IndusInd provides discount when payment is done through Pay with Rewards. That doesn't need minimum order value. Also your Pay with Rewards account get some cashback for future payment as well.

So you end up getting discount+cashback at the same time.

That's very helpful! Let me try the app and get familiar with it. Is there also any LTF Neu Plus that I can get from this App? I guess Infinity will be hard to get, especially LTF... Though if I get it, I'll grab it with both hands. Anything LTF - and UPI! 🙂

I don't buy THAT many groceries either, as I rarely use processed stuff like instant noodles, ketchup, jam, etc.

Are there any tricks to get this LTF Neu Plus / Infinity? What kind of things does it look at? Would it help to use my HDFC credit card on the App instead of other cards? Should I use it via UPI or directly?

So one cannot upgrade to Millenia using Rupay Money-back+?

No, I think I still have the offer. But I got the MoneyBack+ RuPay card (was previously having MasterCard MoneyBack) less than a month back and think it's a kinda inconvenience for them to immediately change it.

In any case, I'm also a bit concerned about the minimum spend -- 1L for Millenia vs 50k for MoneyBack (Plus). I recently got some other cards, so my spends will get a bit more distributed.

Is it still possible to get LTF Neu cards? And to check if I get should I go to Cards > select card > Check Eligibility?
