But can you have 4 cards by Amex?

Yeah, you can have 4. I have 4 myself. Some others I know also have 4. 2 charge cards and 2 regular ones.
I also have 2 charge cards and MRCC myself. Didn’t apply for 4th (Platinum Travel) as thought they might close one charge card if I apply another one on checking the account.

Just one thing- So the platinum travel would be free and as a companion to platinum charge right?
My MRCC was companion to gold charge .
That was the case earlier. If one had Plat Charge, all other cards were companion to it and were free. But they aren't agreeing to this now. I tried but they said no to me. You can give a try, nothing to lose anyway.
The ratio for MB from MR is 1:1. From ER it is 0.8
Got it. But isn't it easier to earn ER than MR? I don't hold an Amex yet hence the doubt
Depends on which Axis card you have. If it's HNI card then definitely easy to earn ER.

Ohh. Around 4yrs back when I applied for gold charge, a month later got mail for MRCC as companion card for free. Have been holding MRCC since then for free.
me too hold the gold charge card and got MRCC as companion card. if you are really interested @Wealth is my birth right! there's a way around it to get it for free 😎

so just tell customer care that you have a big purchase coming up and want that to book an EMI but unfortunately you can't do that on the gold card since its not a credit card, you could spin this off 2 ways, first situation is where in you have closed the MRCC already, the other situation is where in you ask them to convert existing MRCC to a companion card. This will work since you cannot make EMI purchases on a charge card! Hence the companion card 😉
I tried situation 1 and it worked for me although this is years ago, but from what I hear they are giving MRCC companion even on the travel card, so heck why not on the gold charge card. You could close the MRCC and try if the former doesn't work
Hi, I have MRCC card , I am getting travel card upgradation mail from amex, can i get travel card with my mrcc card as companion card , is there any hack.
upgrades are different than companion card, I've never seen travel card being offered as a companion card unless your primary card is a plat charge card. Upgrade could mean you lose the old card and get a new one, companion card lets you retain both, you should check with customer care and understand the offer intricacies
Is there any possibility to get any lower variant card as companion card based on my MRCC card , i have checked with cc but they are not issuing as of now.
