I was thinking of opening a BoB account just for the EaseMyTrip DC. Will they give the EaseMyTrip DC to any account variant?

Why do you want to close it? You have option to convert too...

New customers can open online not existing. Visit branch for closure or upgradation

or i can block the bob bro DC, maybe just keep a virtual DC and apply advantage account side by side

during the conversion will they block my exising rupay platinum debit card or i will have to use the same one with advantage account?
if they continue the same one i will block it first and then proceed with the conversion

Nothing will be blocked. They will just change product code from their end
