"Hi, I applied for the HDFC Millennia Credit Card two years ago, using Amazon Pay with a credit limit (C2C) of ₹2.2L. Initially, I was assigned a credit limit of ₹31,000, which was automatically enhanced to ₹62,000 eight months ago. Recently, I requested a limit increase, providing my pay slip (₹1.1L) and ITR (₹12L), and my limit was enhanced to ₹2.3L just last week. However, I accidentally checked my account today and was surprised to see that my primary card limit has been increased to ₹50L and my RuPay virtual credit card limit to ₹20L."

How is it possible? (Is it due to Technical problem)

Will bank 1000060070.webp

1000060041.webp 1000060040.webp 1000060067.webp take it back ?

Bruh how you got can you share wht you you did to get this limit and how much your cibil score

I don't know what problem HDFC has with me, I have millennia from 3 years now but never got a limit enhancement since then... Still at 1.6L from the start. I have moderate use of it. Tried mailing them but they asked to send physical documents to chennai in this digital aged so I didn't send it.

Insist on sending the documents via email. Highly likely that they'll agree. Asking to send the docs to Chennai is their default response but nowadays they are accepting the docs online (via email) upon customer's request. I did the same for upgrading from MB+ to Millennia.

It was technical glitch, they rolled back, now it's 2.3L(officered limit)

Requested credit limit enhancement by send payment slip and ITR to Cards Services customerservices.cards@hdfcbank.com
They refused then I forwarded it to grievance redressal of HDFC using ICICI cc 2.6L , axis 2.87L ,payslip and ITR. Then they offered 2.3L.

Conclusion It was technical glitch 🥲
Seriously bro, they rolled back? as i didn't get my limit back

In my opinion you should have spent a large amount from it. At least as much as you wanted the card limit. Then maybe the system would not have been able to roll back the limit. By the way, I have got a lot of relief now, otherwise I was feeling very jealous. 😀

Isn't this extremely risky?
Incase the user had done this & the bank rolled back the error, the credit utilization ratio would go through the roof & inturn screw the cibil?
