Delayed Approval/Rejection of Apay ICICI credit card

I applied for Apay CC on 15 Aug through Amazon app , I hold icici coral with 1.6L limit and have Savings Account with them too.
I had hoped for instant approval with shared limit but didn’t happen so I mailed customer care and Credit cards head asking the same.
Customer care replied with 7 working days process timeline and today they sent 21 working days processing timeline.
I even shared my icici , hdfc , axis cc statements with email.


This 21 days timeline is beyond my comprehension.
Can Anyone explain please ?



Edit : : Got the approval message today .
ICICI made the CIBIL HIT , limit approved is same as my Coral Card but don’t know if it is shared or standalone.

Its shared limit with your existing Coral Card...But you will get seperate statements for both the Cards.
Sometimes they process the application as General for existing customers too if the offer is not available as pre approved.

Anyway enjoy the new Amazon pay card 🤣😀
