Being slow learner at miles game & rewards redemption

Still unsure about getting amex for myself, spouse already have platinum travel

No other regrets.

Plans for 2025 :-

May get into Amex world

• Being slow learner at miles game & rewards redemption
• Still hanging around cashback cards.
• Usure about getting into amex world because of low spends and low acceptance.
• Not optimising the best bank and card offers.

Delights:

• Opened HDFC salary account
• Got both HDFC Swiggy and Neu Infinity as LTF

Plans for 2025

• Get an HDFC core card
• Close some unwanted and unused cards

1. Still not able to understand Miles game
2. Have not yet got an Amex Card
3. Rejected twice for AU Credit Card this year

Delights:

1. Got Pinnacle without charges and Exclusive Account
2. Applied and got Swiggy CC LTF
3. Converted SimplyClick to LTF

Plans for 2025

1. Somehow get AU Credit Card for Bank Offers
2. Upgrade cards of IDFC, Yes Bank and Axis
3. Increase limit of Axis, HDFC and HSBC
4. Get core HDFC Card if possible DCB or DCP

Delights:
Got Infinia and amex travel. Got both in August and September.

Regrets:
Got to know how cc can be rewarding very late😅. Got my first cc in 2017 from rbl, mainly to start credit history for future loans. Used that non rewarding card for 6 yrs

Regrets:
- had DCB LTF since many years but wasn’t using Smartbuy for anything even though I do a lot of online shopping
- getting FOMO for Amex cards. I’m unable to justify the value for my spending patterns but time and again I see people talking about Amex and I reanalyse and again decide not to apply 😬
- totally missed the bus on Axis cards like Magnus and now every Axis card seems devalued

Delights:
1. Got Infinia and started using Smartbuy. Gathered over 50k points in 3 months 🥹
2. Got ICICI EPM before Infinia. It’s quite good for the first year.

Sbi cashback card was not approved for me.


Delights:
Opened hdfc acc for wife mainly for additional 1% via platinum dc.
applied my infinia add on card for her.
Also applied for sbi cashback card for her and it's in verification state. Guess it's approved

I earned 90k points in DCB last year and 50k in Amex. Thanks to this forum for making me understand the actual value of these points. I have been using Mrcc and amex charge card from 2016 and I have been redeeming the points for Amazon vouchers.. last year when I joined this forum i came to know the actual value and applied for amex plat travel and accumulated 50k thru amex trifacta.

Regret: Why didn't I know before that Credit Cards are so useful?

1. Cancelled 10+ random unnecessary cards from the portfolio. Life is simple now.
2. Got Axis Olympus and HSBC Premier.

Regrets:
In December I applied for Times Black and IndusInd Pioneer Heritage and both got approved. Now in a dilemma as my existing cards already cover everything (will probably cancel these two but I feel bad about wasting bank resources).

7. Streamlined the transactions like below for better benefits.

• Axis Airtel - All Utility payments.
• HDFC Tata Neu Infinity - All UPI and insurance payments.

Regret:
Applied DBS Spark 5 card as FYF before LTF offer roll-out.so closed it in this month. Very basic card and less features.
