I just want to share with the TF community about my DCB Metal journey. (I read a lot of TF posts, would like to thank the founder and all contributors)
I had applied for Infinia on September 24 when I was eligble(criteria changed on Oct 24 made me in eligble) but the RM was travelling, so the process was slow and finally got rejected, but was given an option to go for DCB Metal with 10000.00 JF/AN, which i agreed(hopefully i will be able to upgrade to infinia in the future).
The process for DCB started around October 24. The whole process was little slow compare to other banks i guess. After multiple follow ups, the application got approved. I was unable to track the status online, the RM said that my application is offline, hence unable to track it online.
Finally i got the card on 14 Nov. There was an offer for JF waiver if we spend 150k in 90 days.
Initially i hesitate to activate/use the card due to high fees(highest CC JF/AF i hold is IDFC Vistara), but later i came to know that the 90 days counter started when they delivered the card.
Thank God I was able to use the card in the last Myntra sale which run 10x offer, so i spent some amount there and of course the GV. Also I use the card for rent payment(no RP) just to reach the Welcome Milestone which as of date its 30k less to reach the milestone, i hope i should reach there before 9 Feb, last date for the Welcome Milesone(JF waiver).
The most useful spent is for the accelarated point on Smartbuy(GV, Myntra, Pharmeasy). Any guidance/suggestion for maximum benefit of using the card is welcome.
