How to get Federal Bank credit card, preferred card? rupay?
There is no branch in my town/city. Do i need to open an account? I am self-employed.
Already have cards from HDFC, AXIS, ICICI.

Applying becasue of 10% instant discount offered sometime on amazon/flipkart.

For self-employed if no offers shown online, then opening savings account is best way. If no branch nearby, you could try Selfie account opened online although it has debit card charges I think which initially will offset the 10%-15% offers on Amazon

Lately their debit card offers are Mastercard-only and they have cleverly changed all their savings accounts so there is no FYF Mastercard, but ₹300+GST=₹354 charges. This bank I feel is 2nd most greedy after Axis Bank (infamous for its consolidated charges).

Totally agree on the charges side. After looking at their confusing SoC I decided not to open an account.

Never opt-in to open savings account with federal as i already have HDFC, ICICI, AXIS, SBI and BOB.

In my case, I applied directly in website and there is no VKYC or Physical KYC. Received the card directly.

No, I didn't get from Fi. So applied directly in Website and got the card without verification. I didn't get the option to choose the variant.
