HDFC doesn't let me apply for a second credit card

I got my first-ever credit card from HDFC Bank in August 2023, which is a Tata Neu Infinity one (LTF).

Today, I was trying to apply for a new one through their website, but got the following error:
"It seems that you have recently applied for a credit card. Hence we will not be able to proceed with your current application."


I tried to check on the same portal even a few days ago, but got the same error even that day.

When I tried to track what my latest application number was on their website, surprisingly it was my Tata Neu Infinity one.

It has been over a year since I got that card, so I'm surprised why it doesn't let me apply for a second one.

Does anyone have any idea if it is an error specific to me or they don't let you apply for another card if you already have a co-branded one?

Ok saying this for the Nth time
“HDFC has stopped issuing 2nd card”
“If you have an existing CoBranded or Core Card with HDFC you will not be issued a new card”

Only way now to get a 2nd card from HDFC is through Floater card.

So you are saying that we cannot apply online from HDFC website or Cobranded website??

ICICI Credit Cards do this to me, but approve nahi huwa kabhi

Yeah, but it was same application which they kept on reopening every time. And if you track on HDFC site using that application number it doesn't show anything, the only status of your application you can see is in swiggy app itself.
For icici you can try with Apay during festive season, or if you already hold one card with icici best way is to get another card from offers in iMobile/netbanking. If no offer showing go for expressions credit card (which is a coral card in itself).

Anyway, I just desire the Swiggy credit card alongside my Tata Neu Infinity card. Is there a 100% chance of approval if I get it as a floater card? I don't want any of their core cards.

If he wish to do it he can do it without closing the card. My RM did it for me when I was holding Tata Neu Plus card.

I spoke to RM today about this and he is asking what did your RM do? My RM is new guy. Do you know what your RM do to get Infinia approved with closing the existing card?
