That is wrong, and the OP got charged for a totally different reason in NOVEMBER! Confused mods have mixed up two completely unrelated posts and made it confusing for everyone else as well. @TechnoFino Please get them unmerged.

Infinia HDFC Infinia Priority Pass Charged for Access in Domestic Indian Airports

I too have sent an email since I plan to use domestic lounges using PP next month. Infinia PP website still shows domestic lounges for me, and HDFC has not explicitly mentioned anywhere that it will be changed.
Latest MITC (Ver 2.5, Mar 2025)
Please refer to Section II, Para K, Page 23 of latest MITC (i.e. Ver 2.5 dated Mar 2025, available here).
It states, "Infinia, Infinia (Metal Edition): Complimentary priority pass membership for Primary and add-on card holders with unlimited lounge access for priority pass card holder."
Only the card validation charges will be applicable, as per Section I, Para iii, k, Page 8), which states that,
"₹2 will be charged on the Credit Card and the same shall not be reversed by the bank (All variants except MasterCard).
₹25 will be charged and made void at the POS terminal (Applicable for MasterCard variant), which means that the transaction is cancelled by the merchant before it settles through your credit card account and hence it will not appear on your credit card statement.
Rs. 2 will be charged and made void at the POS terminal for MasterCard variant from 1st January 2024 onwards."
So, unlimited complimentary lounge visits are possible on Infinia Priority Passes.
Only card validation charges will be deducted/reimbursed, as applicable, as quoted above.

even if they devalue, they should bring Infinia's lounge access coverage to the level of BoB Eterna atleast. I only use my PP while accessing arrival lounges at Delhi T3 and BLR T1/T2.
This is a very recent change. The other gentleman might have got charged for a different reason on using PP.

All are happening for same reason. Change in infinia pp policy. There is still no clarity when is the cut off date. May be hdfc will enforce it retroactively.
There were 4 threads on the same topic. This is 5th one. Topic is similar enough that they don't need 2 separate threads. And definitely not 5 threads.
Even the OP of infinia pp demostic devaluation thread had posted on the same thread initially and later created a new thread.

That was the case, counter added 3 guest visits to the user and they were billed as usual. ( cc confirmed the bill was due to the 3 guest visits. )
CC reverted half the amount and the op has to pay the remaining 50%, and pp are still free in domestic as usual.
People are making caos now without reading the entire thread and coming with new assumptions daily.
It’s not about being rich or poor, it’s about what’s right. I believe, every change in the T&C, features or policies must be communicated clearly. They are banks not pan shop.

After reading most of the thread and speaking with CC, I feel, lounge access domestically on PP should still be allowed for both primary and add-on. It just that they might have paraphrased their statements on their portal.
Also, because I spoke to customer care and initially the executive said there was no change. I then insisted him to recheck and come back to me, a few mins later he confirmed that there was a change on PP’s domestic lounge access feature. Although he was unable to answer a few questions- effective when? Whether PP would be charged for domestic access etc?
Looks like there’s no communication regarding this to even the bank staff. Also none of us has received a communication. Just that there was a tweet which made us assume a thing or two.
Hope things stay the same.

Untill bank sends email for some changes the priority pass rules will be same i guess
as per hdfc bank site is changed now thats why the chaos not bcuz 1 person was charged xD bcuz the wordings have changed around 7th march so no one can say they were charged bcuz of the change it will take 3 months from now to be 101% sure about the change

That is the minimum expected of HDFC. Else it will be a PR disaster.
I think some intern watching this thread on the PP getting charged for 3 guests, decided to change wording, only to create even more confusion.
for infinia pp it was free earlier mentioned on their website also.. now the wordings have changed
