HDFC Bank Infinia is the best credit card available in India for frequent air travellers. HDFC Bank market this credit card as an invite only card, but in reality you can actually apply for this card.
Official Eligible Income Criteria For HDFC Infinia- 43L ITR (depends on location)
DCB - 24L ITR
If you don't have ITR of 43L/24L you can still get HDFC Infinia/DCB, you have to fulfil some other criteria.
This information is not available publicly on HDFC Bank website.
Hidden Criteria For "New HDFC Bank Infinia Credit Card" - You can apply for new HDFC Bank Infinia credit card using "Card To Card" method, you need a minimum 1 year old other bank credit card with minimum 10 lakhs credit limit for this.
"New HDFC Bank Diners Club Black Credit Card" - You can apply for new HDFC Bank DCB credit card using "Card To Card" method, you need a minimum 1 year old other bank credit card with minimum 5 lakhs credit limit for this.

If your already have a HDFC Bank credit card, then you have to upgrade your existing card to Infinia/DCB,
For Upgrade To Infinia-
1. You need minimum 8 lakhs credit limit on your existing HDFC Bank Credit card
2. Send an email to- grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com & request for card upgrade, fill up and attach credit card upgrade form with the email.

For Upgrade To DCB-
1. You need minimum 5 lakhs credit limit on your existing HDFC Bank Credit card
2. Send an email to- grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com & request for card upgrade, attach card upgrade form with the email.

Update- HDFC Bank asking for 10 lakhs limit on your existing credit card for infinia upgrade.



So, don't be surprised if hdfc bank ask you for 10L limit.

Now HDFC has started sending digital insta card.. you should check the email.. at least Diners card they sending like this.
Note: only in the case of new application, not applicable to upgrade

That is only for new applications. For upgrades, we have to wait for the card to be delivered.

Yes, this is the case.. my card got upgraded i did not received insta card.. my family member's was a new application, so they got insta card

Most probably yes…once card delivered and you make a first transaction then old card will be deactivated

I was unable to. The moment new card (Infinia) showed up in net banking, the credit limit of old card (DCB) changed to 0. I tried a small online transaction to check if DCB worked but it didn’t. So I doubt you’ll be able to swipe the old DCB at the lounge.

I was able to use the old DCB card online and at a POS. Only thing I am not able to do is redeem reward points for flights, since the points were transferred to upgraded card.

Got a response from them asking me to send the hard copies to the below address. Any tips on ensuring a higher probability of HDFC accepting this request?

I had clearly explained to them in the email why spending on DCB criteria wouldn't be met as I had to route spends to other cards because of DCB acceptance issues.

Got a response from them asking me to send the hard copies to the below address. Any tips on ensuring a higher probability of HDFC accepting this request?

I had clearly explained to them in the email why spending on DCB criteria wouldn't be met as I had to route spends to other cards because of DCB acceptance issues.

Even after sending docs, they didn’t approve mine, though income and ITR were more.
Most likely as I didn’t have any spends on DCB recently.

even i tried for the same, fulfilling the salery criteria upgrade from ltf dcb to infinia got rejected. My RM took approval for spend criteria as i also didn't meet the spend criteria due to unacceptability issue. My RM have sent the docs to Chennai. will update the status.

HDFC does not allow this. When I got SBI Elite card, SBI did share the softcopy for online transactions.

Mine was upgrade from MB to Infinia case.
