HDFC Bank Infinia is the best credit card available in India for frequent air travellers. HDFC Bank market this credit card as an invite only card, but in reality you can actually apply for this card.
Official Eligible Income Criteria For HDFC Infinia- 43L ITR (depends on location)
DCB - 24L ITR
If you don't have ITR of 43L/24L you can still get HDFC Infinia/DCB, you have to fulfil some other criteria.
This information is not available publicly on HDFC Bank website.
Hidden Criteria For "New HDFC Bank Infinia Credit Card" - You can apply for new HDFC Bank Infinia credit card using "Card To Card" method, you need a minimum 1 year old other bank credit card with minimum 10 lakhs credit limit for this.
"New HDFC Bank Diners Club Black Credit Card" - You can apply for new HDFC Bank DCB credit card using "Card To Card" method, you need a minimum 1 year old other bank credit card with minimum 5 lakhs credit limit for this.

If your already have a HDFC Bank credit card, then you have to upgrade your existing card to Infinia/DCB,
For Upgrade To Infinia-
1. You need minimum 8 lakhs credit limit on your existing HDFC Bank Credit card
2. Send an email to- grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com & request for card upgrade, fill up and attach credit card upgrade form with the email.
*Credit card upgrade form (New Version) - attached with this thread.

For Upgrade To DCB-
1. You need minimum 5 lakhs credit limit on your existing HDFC Bank Credit card
2. Send an email to- grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com & request for card upgrade, attach card upgrade form with the email.

Update- HDFC Bank asking for 10 lakhs limit on your existing credit card for infinia upgrade.

mostly yes.. had seen one post on Twitter in which multiple ppl told this.. but some who just got 2nd card after like 10-12 months when ur due for le they got their le.. maybe after this they wont get.

majority comments were that they haven't got le after a 2nd card

Only if you have spends of 4L in last 6 months or a salary of 1.75L.

So, this is true. I am also facing similar issue. Stuck with 7.5L limit for last 1.5 years despite spending >5L in last 6 months on my DCB.
Looks like I should close Tata Neu infinity which is LTF though. The primary reason to get this card was UPI payments and Big basket. Since, I have Airtel Axis now, I am covered on BB at least. I don't use this card for anything else.
Can I close now and may be reapply after 6+ months if need be? Does this improve chances of getting LE on my paid DCB?

Btw, already tried escalating to grievances and provided recent income proofs. They denied. I believe they also reply based on what the system says which again uses this faulty algo (as mentioned in this twitter thread).
Nodal also denied but mentioned, we can reconsider to provide upto 90% of FD investment. But i am not interested in any investment with them - I am a Nifty guy.

To prove that you are a clever guy, you can actually try this option..close the Tata neu infinity card. It may be the likely culprit..
About reapplying after 6 months ,not sure, but will most likey be able to get it after you get Infinia

i have axis magnus with 8.2 lac limit. Have been rejected for HDFC cards before. Hold only HDFC swiggy with a limit of only 50k!

3 months back got Millennia LTF with CL of 1.6L without any documents through Online. I was not too much aware of credit cards and usage till i found this forum. Can I upgrade to Infinia Metal LTF. My salary credit is >3L per month with >1cr ITR and CIBIL 770. I don't have salary account with HDFC but I can open salary account with HDFC if they provide Infinia Metal LTF. Any possibility?

DCB Metal LTF possible .. Yes go to bank and negotiate your chosen card by flashing your ITR and then open the account ..
DOnt open accout before the deal is finalised .

Thanks for the guidance. To get infinia LTF, does 10 lakh FD will help on top of salary account. Or it does not matter.

When I login to HDFC card netbanking portal it shows my Card Status as "TRANSFER OUT TODAY" and remaining credit as 0.

Any idea what it means? I am trying to reach a human on HDFC phone banking but it is all IVR option loop and no option to select speak to agent.

@ashwinsid Hi Ashwin, the same thing happened to me when I tried to accept the upgrade offer. Initially, it said a problem occurred and then my card status is showing transfer out today and credit limit as 0. So, did you get the upgraded credit card?
