That's pretty fast, i applied on 23/06, got VKYC on 24/06. Still waiting post that application under process message.

Aj kal waise bhi 10-15 din me aa jaata hai. Police verification ke time 500 ka note do toh 3-4 din me hi aa jaata hai.

For renwal they did police verification after issue of passport in fact! It's superfast once you find an appointment slot. I think it almost couldn't get faster than the normal one, unless they dispatch passport even before appointment for Tatkal or something

And I didn't have to give any rokda -- for me the addressed changed from Kolkata to Chennai.

End ke 6 months tak possible hai renewal

2 years tak documents needed are the same, though unhon ne alag alag categories mein baanta hai. IIRC after 2 years, ECNR documents phir se submit karne honge.
