Maine toh 500 se start kiya tha negotiation lekin 1000 main kam ho gaya 🤣 waise yeh Police verification bhi passport office pe depend karta hai agar woh chahe toh skip bhi ho sakta hai lekin majority cases main hota hai aur koshish karna ki expiry hone se pehle renew karne ka warna uske baad toh pakka verification hoga

That's pretty fast, i applied on 23/06, got VKYC on 24/06. Still waiting post that application under process message.😔😔

Aj kal waise bhi 10-15 din me aa jaata hai. Police verification ke time 500 ka note do toh 3-4 din me hi aa jaata hai. 😛

For renwal they did police verification after issue of passport in fact! It's superfast once you find an appointment slot. I think it almost couldn't get faster than the normal one, unless they dispatch passport even before appointment for Tatkal or something 🙂

And I didn't have to give any rokda -- for me the addressed changed from Kolkata to Chennai.

End ke 6 months tak possible hai renewal

2 years tak documents needed are the same, though unhon ne alag alag categories mein baanta hai. IIRC after 2 years, ECNR documents phir se submit karne honge.
