IDFC First Wealth easily approved

I am NTB customer with IDFC. I had some relationship in the past with IDFC via Flipkart Paylater which I had closed last year.

Hi Guys,

I will share my successs story of how I got approved for Wealth Credit Card from IDFC bank.

I recieved a call from sales team that I was eligible for IDFC LTF credit card. I clearly told them I am not gonna apply unless I get wealth card. She told she can apply Wealth for me and it will approve for sure.

I trusted her and followed her steps and boom the card was approved on second day and virtual card has arrived.

My monthly avg salary is ~60k and CIBIL hovers between 770 and 780


If anyone wants to apply ensure your work location and current residence is at same City. I can share the agent contact who helped me to apply.

WFH so not possible for me.
In her knowledge, WFH with company address (or any company branch) not in same city usually gets rejected later on.

Sharing my experience here:

NTB to IDFC
Got few automated calls that IDFC card is pre approved last few days.
Ignored them. But got call from couple of agents for IDFC select CC.
Then checked this forum and found out that IDFC Wealth CC is being approved easily.
I have gone through official website for the application(yesterday) and chose existing card details as ICICI coral with 4.4L limit.
Put salary as 3L, knowing they won't ask for salary slip.
Completed VKYC today, as I was in office yesterday.
Agent confirmed the salary range is 1.5L to 3.5L
After an hour got SMS that VKYC is approved. Then I checked for status and card is generated!!!!
Able to login to the mobile App and see card with limit of 5lakhs !!
This now my highest limit credit card.

Now that IDFC Wealth is devalued more or less same like ICICI, they are giving it to everyone.
Earlier they were not at all giving wealth, they were giving only upto Select.
Now Wealth has almost become a useless card. So they are lavishly approving.

Something funny happened recently,
I was reconsidering my card collection and decided to close down my IDFC Select with 3.63L along with a bunch of other cards,
So i just gave a closure request on app and waited for the call

When i got the call from retention team few days later, i wasn't expecting much, she asked me why, i said no use, i thought she'll offer some points which I'll deny,
But then suddenly she said I'll upgrade you wealth on your current limit, i told her I've called and emailed for the same twice late last yr and early this yr to no avail, she said that's the customer care, we're the retention team, we can do it right away, you'll have the card in 7 days,
I was skeptical but went ahead anyways thinking what's the harm

Cut to today morning when i received an sms and a email saying my upgrade request has been closed,
at first i was bit agitated but when i check IDFC app, wealth card showed up

Now i know it's a pretty much useless card, i might end up closing this one as well few months later, but for now I'm gonna give a try
