Ok, So few days back i also thought to get IDFC Wealth Credit card after seeing threads on getting wealth card, just to add IDFC card to my portfolio. (will be using for sales & offers, considering the devaluations)

My Current Portfolio:
SBI Cashback - Jan 2023
Axis Neo LTF - Sept 2023
HDFC Millenia LTF - Dec 2023
ICICI Dual Sapphiro LTF- Jan 2024
BOB Premier Rupay LTF - March 2024
HDFC Tata Neu Infinity FYF - June 2024
AU IXIGO LTF - June 2024
IDFC Wealth LTF - Got Approved

Current Cibil: 763 (Reduced from 771 this month due to high utilization (5%))
Credit Age: 3 Years
Highest Limit: HDFC Millenia : 5.12 L

On 28 June, I filled online application through Cashkaro ( will be getting 1K rewards ) , application id got generated, completed vkyc. on 29 June, home address verification done (1PM) , received approval message and card details ( 2:30PM).

Existing Relation: I hold 10k MAB SB account with IDFC since Jan 2024 (not much transactions, maintaining MAB only)

Details Filled during Application Process: I applied via C2C, selected HDFC Bank and leave the variant box Blank, added limit 5.12L, added salary 3.1L ( actual <1.5)

No documentations asked.

Recently I got IDFC wealth card. Can someone suggest where to spend 5,000 to get the max benefit of 500 welcome reward. If I use for shopping, then I'm going to lose 5% SBI Cashback card default cashback i.e 250 Rs.

This card lacks value due to several limitations and nothing left to further devaluation, its shelf-card actually.

Loung/Spa: Required 20k/pm spends
Golf: Required another 20k/pm spends

Now, if you're ok to spend that 40k/pm then

Reward rate: On 40k/pm spends you'll get only 1.08% (BOB Snapdeal offers higher with just ₹300 annual fee)

Not only that

Utility, Insurance: Only 0.16% (vs DC 0.25%)

On top of this low reward rate, there is redemption fee of 118rs.

Forex markup: -0.7% on 40k/pm spends...

Something funny happened recently,

I was reconsidering my card collection and decided to close down my IDFC Select with 3.63L along with a bunch of other cards,
So i just gave a closure request on app and waited for the call

When i got the call from retention team few days later, i wasn't expecting much, she asked me why, i said no use, i thought she'll offer some points which I'll deny,
But then suddenly she said I'll upgrade you wealth on your current limit, i told her I've called and emailed for the same twice late last yr abd early this yr to no avail, she said that's the customer care, we're the retention team, we can do it right away, you'll have the card in 7 days,
I was skeptical went ahead anyways thinking what's the harm

Cut to today morning when i received an sms and a email saying my upgrade request has been closed,at first i was bit agitated but when i check IDFC app, wealth card showed up

Now i know it's a pretty much useless card, i might end up closing this one as well few months later, but for now I'm gonna give a try

I raised my closure request for Wealth, didn't received any call.. directly mail after 1 week saying 'card closed'. Done and dusted!

Ya I applied Wealth was shown 4.95L but rejected after a month applied again was shown 3L select. Approved in 8-10 days as soon as I got virtual I raised a request to upgrade basis wealth acct that was approved as well. But still they're not easily handing out Wealth. Anyways IDFC cards don't seem much useful I've only taken as it's LTF and Bday spends 10X rewards....

just applied for idfc wealth cc for my wife. got 5l limit lol, did kyc and within 5 min got message and the car is shown in app too

her highest cc limit is 2l on axis.

thought of creating a thread here but looks like eveyone is getting the card
