Indian Oil Citi Bank to Axis Bank migration

TF Buzz
I got mail from axis bank. That my card would be changed to Indian Oil Axis Premium credit card.

My present Citi card has 1k charging as annual fee. It has around 250 reward points in that card. I mailed Citi Bank for convert to LTF. But they will transfer only 35% of my existing reward points.

Even though Indian oil axis premium card has more benifits i want to use it as LTF.

I am using Citi card since 2018. Will axis Bank consider my LTF request claiming me as goodwill customer in Citi bank??

Axis is already in the process of migrating Citi customers to Axis Premium IOCL credit cards. So I doubt, at this stage they will convert you to LTF.

You should try asking for LTF after getting Axis IOCL CC.

Otherwise also, fees waive-off limit is 1L only if you can spend.

I don't know about LTF. But in March I called up Citi Customer Care to close my CC as it wasn't in use. They transferred my call to the team responsible for credit card closure but they lured me with Rs. 2k as retention bonus and I happily accepted it. Now I have almost completed the 30k spend waiver and will be keeping this card for atleast 1.5 year until my next annual fees is due.

You can TRY. I just called Citi today to close my Rewards card (2 lakhs annual spend irked me instead of 30k but they added 2 domestic lounges per quarter as well in the new card) and they transferred to Axis & even tried saying wait for the migration as things might change or Axis might give you something good to retain so I WILL DO IT and wait.
they did however gave me 1570 points (Which should be as a gesture not to cancel right away and wait for migration to complete) and its worth 1 RP=0.35 for voucher redemption or 0.25 for direct payments. So I accepted it and this was today aka 15th June, 2024. So TRY and get something from Citi and later from axis as well.

if you have 250 or more Turbo points why don't you redeem it now before migration. Post migration we don't know yet the process of redeeming EDGE rp for fuel. So its better to redeem it now

Someone pointed in this forum that in the emails we received it's written that spend based waiver will remain same as is after migration also. So it should remain 30k after migration for Rewards card.

Yes in the email also its mentioned that your annual fees will be same so I think the fee waiver criteria will also be the same.
