This is a bank with a really odd online customer service team

1) I had initially asked them the 3 questions I posted here. I wanted the answers before opening the account. They didn't reply in time, so I went ahead and opened the account. Today, they wrote back and said they believed my queries were resolved. I replied "No, they aren't. I need the answers in writing", followed by the queries again. To which they replied "Please visit the branch"

2) Immediately after I opened the a/c I emailed the customer service team and asked them to "Please confirm that the NMC waiver had been activated on this account". 2 days later I got a call from the lady at the bank, who opened the account, asking why I wanted to close the account. I told her "No, I definitely do not want to close it". When I asked her why she thought so, she told me her internal application showed a closure request along with the words ""Please confirm that the NMC waiver had been activated on this account". She could not understand the linkage either i.e. why her CC team thought I might want to close the a/c when all I was asking was whether the NMC waiver was activated

Very strange CC team ....

I sent the email about NMC waiver is active in my a/c or not on Nov 6, and it is showing under Service Request as Account Closure Status (Processing). Not heard from the team as of now.

I think it would be better to check with the local branch because they might close it without consulting you (though I doubt that would happen, they probably get incentives based on number of a/c opened). Still as I said, they are very odd... so it might be better to check

I wonder in what language a query about NMC waiver = request for a/c closure. That's something really weird

They had this offer earlier for Partner account.
It clearly mentioned zero balance for life. Don't understand why they didn't state it clearly now!

It was mentioned in the offer page as
"Times Prime membership is subject to Activation of Net Banking on Savings Account within 30 days of account opening
Times Prime Membership subscriptions are curated for bank offer which is subjected to change and reviewed time to time. The offers and benefits part of the subscription bank is nowhere responsible on the quality content and issues"
No timeframe mentioned for the same I guess, anyone activated/using can explain the process.

in my case they have open partner account instead of exclusive account, as employee joined 2-3 days back she made mistake, now assured me they will update to exclusive in 5 working days ...
