For question 1 answer is No you can't switch partner back by yourself, maybe possible if partner bank may ends its tie-ups.
For Question 2 is 6 months after closure of existing relationship, but try only after 7-8 months will get more on safer side.

2. Never. Onecard confirmed to me on call that if I close my card, I can never apply again (atleast for now as per their current policy).
Ok, understand that I can't apply for Onecard again. But what about another Federal bank card, when is the earliest that I can apply for another Federal bank card after closing Onecard?
Is one card onboarding new customers?

I guess after 3-6 months. Better to confirm with CRM team before applying to avoid unnecessary CIBIL hit.

i think one card with SBM bank is secured FD backed but one card with other banking partner is unsecured
Every Partner bank started giving Rupay Variant as a virtual card.
For me it is the Indian bank, but as @Anindya98 said it was available on majority of one card partners
First you need to get one card and then they will offer you LTF Rupay card like below.

Nowhere it's available on app. Have federal Bank onecard
They are giving it in batches, I think you will get the Wave card. Log in to your Federal App and get the Wave card, which will be linked to one card.

Didn't have any of the fed bank app. Installed fedmobile and while trying to link/setup credit card got an error saying 'Unique Id not on file'.
AFAIK, you can't log in to the Fed mobile app without a core credit card or a bank account.
