The merchant name is probably Amazon India Private Ltd. as it gets cut a bit while showing in transaction details.
For eg I made a transaction on 15-Jan for INR 100 So in app it shows : "PCD/XXXX/AMAZON PAY INDIA PRIVA/TE". Also in the OTP sms it says ".... is the OTP for txn of INR 100.00 at amazon in using Kotak Bank Card XXXX".
In that case, I would advise to wait till month end. This transaction is not in exclusions. MCC is valid for this, if you still don't receive it. Raise the complaint.
 
Two fields in which one must never go by "common sense", Law & Finance. I agree something is better than nothing but in many people's experience, customer care will often say things not really true & for which they can't be held accountable.As for the case here, kotak 811 cb comes after weeks/month so most likely it is done via some sort of automation+manual intervention combo which means they can always manually exclude any txn they think is excluded even if it's mcc is not under the excluded category & most likely this is why they specifically mentioned "utilities payment" & not mcc of utility payments.

So, what exactly are we looking for? Do you want me to ask my friend to send them an email, or what? Forget friend, I can do that too but then they will reply in a week, and it'll be all done and dusted by then 😂😂

I was already expecting this so made another payment of 10k on setu & got the 500 cb as expected. To all those who are planning on going to RBI for this issue, if RBI consider even one of such case I will consider it a bigger miracle than organizing a Kumbh with zero fatality accidents. RBI is not there to solve ppl issues with rewards & cashback, it is there to solve issues like very late refund for failed txn or giving a paid card while "officially" advertising it as ltf initially etc.
 
In 1-2 months .... Canara setu( department store) for which offline grocery will pay the price... Eg stores like reliance smart, dmartand fuel will also be excluded.... And this card will be in drawer for the rest of year...

As kotak will now push super account budget towards credit card department to acquire customers....

note - first register through website and complete full video kyc and wait 2-3 days and then use Ebixcash UPI app.

also load money through website only and use Ebixcash UPI app for free transfer or any merchant UPI payment, cc bill pay via any other apps through Wallet UPI etc.


 
I've opened another account for my family member on Jan 26th. Made spends via virtual debit card as I didn't receive platinum debit card until Feb 1st.

As per the updated terms which was updated on their website prior to Jan 26th virtual debit card spends are also eligible for cashback. However the cashback for those spends is a big 0. Lotak playing both ways.
Got response for my Grievance. Let's see what resolution I might get.

Also, got 500 cashback on other account for txns using 811 visa classic virtual debit card on Jan 30.

So whoever is saying in previous comments about cashback issued only upto Jan 28th should check their sources.
