How long ideally, should we wait to place a card upgrade request with SBI?

If you're lucky, three. Standard is 6, but some have had to wait for 9-12 months. I'll be completing six on my SimplySave soon. Lets see what happens.

There is a cancel option there at the side, which you can click and continue with Cashback card or a non-pre-approved basis. I did that, but after multiple steps some error occurred anyway.

Ideally you would get a new limit, unless its one of the pre-approved cards where limit is shared. Either way, you should receive a LE nonetheless.

Not enough clarity at the moment, but I am sure it is possible by mailing to the concerned department. But as Bhavye mentioned, it is best to wait for a few days till all the processes get streamlined for this card.

Sprint doesn't give upgrade to Cashback card at the moment. Existing cardholders are getting options like SimplySAVE, Prime, Elite etc.
