No way to apply IDFC First Wow Card - Query & Discussion

Hello folks,

I am already an existing customer of IDFC having a SB account since last month. Since then, I have successfully created a FD of Rs. 20000 (auto renewal on) so that I can apply for first wow card.

While applying for the card from the wow card page, it takes my name, DOB, mobile no. , OTP, PAN, income, address, etc as input and then farts out a completely unrelated bunch of cards which I absolutely don't need. Now there is no link/URL to apply for wow card via mobile app or IB.

Has anyone here faced this situation? If yes, how did you manage to apply?

//Edit: I raised a request the day before yesterday and got a phone call from them yesterday assuring me that I would be able to see the FD based card on their offer list but it turned out to be a lie. The offer page still shows 4 unsecured cards.

Get the First Millenia after that, and you will get the option. I shared the SS from my dad's account. He holds Wealth, he got the Wow card offer after holding Wealth.

Still wait for their reply to see if they can resolve it otherwise gonna follow your (dad's) route.

No, I was thinking of closing the card, but now I will keep it for VI BMS offer and zero forex card.

Wow Card can be closed and immediately applied. It worked for me in 2023 that way. Back then I was looking for IDFC card but I was always getting WOW only. But later on one trick worked. Now I got IDFC Wealth, Vistara, Mayura.

Yes, IDFC shows pre approved cards sometimes irrespective of the login page we take.

I think they might reverse fee. That should be enough for people to continue.

Hope atleast that happens.

Already keeping an eye on that. I've recovered more than the GST for the first year. Also, I made an international transaction on Ashva last month and wasn’t charged anything extra on the transaction amount.

Yes, but they didn't charge me anything. Not sure what the case is. My friend bought a jersey, and they charged exactly the amount shown on the site. I have already paid the bill. Will check this month's statement also.

Last 2 yrs almost. Yeah location is unserviceable but tried with relatives address also. Same result

I am telling you scenario worked in March 2024, not sure if that's patched.

Give relative address or any residential address that is serviceable, keep your working address (even that can be managed) within 50kms radius. That should work.

How did you apply for the wow card? Did it show up in the offer page after you submit all the KYC details like aadhar, pan, etc?

Now, I applied Wow Credit card with 20,000 FD. Only 100%. Not 200%.

Upto 200% is a marketing from IDFC. Haven never seen anyone got 200% of limit.
