Non BBPS payments via 3rd party apps to be stopped by RBI forcing all banks to register as BBPS billers

RBI has directed all CC payments to be made using BBPS only.

3rd party apps to stop non bbps card payments from 1st July onwards.

Banks who are not registered as a BBPS biller have been given time till 30th June but 90 days extension has been sought from RBI.

Well, I can't confirm myself and have to trust friend in this matter. I don't own Platinum card. So as he had mixed txns he calculated total paid and total RPs came and it included HDFC BillPay payment where he got RENTALBBPSNO.

If anyone remains in doubt or have not received after 15 days, better avoid HDFC BillPay for certain credit cards like we decided before knowing this. If I had Platinum I 100% won't be using BillPay again for CC payments except ICICI which gives BILLPAY MCC.

As I mentioned for Standard Chartered card payment RENTALBBPSNO appeared in the SMS for the payment done from HDFC billpay portal and CB not received.Is there another question in there?

checked his statement just now. He is wrong. He paid a total of Rs.57640 (Unipay/JioPay/BillPay/Atal Setu pay) and got 526.40 pts this month. His 5K txn with RENTALBBPSNO hasn't fatched pts for him. So now 100% confirmed that 6513 won't provide CB. Calling him to let him know he is not my friend for such mistakes. Main 0.25 paise bhi sahi calculate karta hu aur yeh Rs.50 ka unsee kar gaya.

ur frnd using hdfc for months..my hdfc acc is just 2weeks old..newly made..1st time in hdfc..and m new in technofino comm for a month only..still i gained so much knowlege that i was sure rental wont give cb..ur frnd was wrong..

Koi ni bhai maaf kar do dost ko. Rs 57640 - Rs 5000 = Rs 52,640. iska 1% = ₹ 526.40. Ho jata hai naye logo se. Humare jese level pe pahuchne ke liye it takes craziness, effort.
Ab clear ho gaya hai SBI Unipay // JioPay // Canara setu. HDFC Bill jispe BBPSHDFCBILLPAY likha aata hai, uspe milenge points.
RentalBBPS jo merchant name aayega HDFC BillPay pe, usse payment mat karo.
Above will stand true in case of HDFC Platinum as well as HDFC Millenia Debit Card too.
