Pro Tips-

Simple way to make Any basic to mid range SBI card LTF is to "Just raise a closure of card account request through Sbi card app .After few hours you will receive a call to ask a reason for cancellation ,there tell them Either make it Life time free or cancel the card.They will make your Card LTF.Done on my both sbi card and now both are LTF.Service request to make your card LTF is taken as PCT id is to be changed.You can check in service request tracking menu.

Caution:-If you holding multiple cards of SBI then kindly do this process at one card at a time only.Do on other card after at least month. If at any point SBI Card is not agreeing on LTF and offering you Annual Fee waivers only then Accept Fee waivers at that moment and Apply the same trick Again after 1 or 2 months for LTF.
IF ANYONE HAVING ANY SPECEFIC CONCERN THEN DO DM.

Edit 1-If afterall anyone missed the call from retention team then they can simply call customer care and there simply tell them to connect/transfer you call to retention team as i want to discuss regarding my card closure request.They will connect you to their retention team and now there you can project the above trick to get your card LTF ..


Edit 2(09 July 2023)-Even people have made sbi cards having fee upto 1499 LTF and even higher varriant cards you will get equivalent reward points or miles or annual fee waiver in place of LTF.

Edit 3(15 October 2023)- Even people have made their SBI cashback credit card LTF by their skill of negotiation.

Edit 4-Now a days SBI Cards sometime,closing the card without calling so suggest now dont place request through app by self .Call customer care directly and ask them for LTF/fee waivers or to transfer the call to retention team for doing the same.

Please suggest some ways to reach the annual fee waiver criteria for SimplySave Visa credit card. I am Rs 35k short of reaching the milestone for fee waiver and card's renewal fee will be charged in the December month. I do not want to raise closure request now as the card is less than a year old.

After they charge your annual fee , just call them and ask them to reverse the fee.. they will generally do it as you spent a decent amount already..
Not to bother about this..

Having a 4 years old simplyclick card. Tried this but they said that they are not seeing the LTF offer on my account unfortunately. So they asked me to get back to them next month for fee reversal. I hope they can make it LTF next time.

Yes will try it but hoping to get a LTF offer as I have multiple cards and it is very difficult for me to reach fee waiver criteria every year.

even if they don't give LTF, they might give fee reversal just like in the quoted case

Nice to know. But some people have already got it converted to LTF.
Maybe they've changed the criteria due to huge amount of request to convert to LTF Cashback

I got my SBI Cashback credit card converted to LTF just after completion of 1 year. May be they have changed the criteria now or might be retention team was bluffing so that you accept the fee reversal offer.

It did not work for me. Even after persuading for 20 min, they kept telling there was no offer on the card. Card is 11 months old with ~3L spend

Simply click and I mailed them from Eva email support, you can't mail them directly on any mail id i suppose

My SBI Elite card is up for annual fee next statement for 5900 including Gst will be generated. Any way to get this reduced from SBI side?
I haven't been using this card much off late and don't want to abandon it because of few benefits. Plus I don't have another sbi card for instant discounts in sales etc.
