Pro Tips-

Simple way to make Any basic to mid range SBI card LTF is to "Just raise a closure of card account request through Sbi card app .After few hours you will receive a call to ask a reason for cancellation ,there tell them Either make it Life time free or cancel the card.They will make your Card LTF.Done on my both sbi card and now both are LTF.Service request to make your card LTF is taken as PCT id is to be changed.You can check in service request tracking menu.

Caution:-If you holding multiple cards of SBI then kindly do this process at one card at a time only.Do on other card after at least month. If at any point SBI Card is not agreeing on LTF and offering you Annual Fee waivers only then Accept Fee waivers at that moment and Apply the same trick Again after 1 or 2 months for LTF.
IF ANYONE HAVING ANY SPECEFIC CONCERN THEN DO DM.

Edit 1-If afterall anyone missed the call from retention team then they can simply call customer care and there simply tell them to connect/transfer you call to retention team as i want to discuss regarding my card closure request.They will connect you to their retention team and now there you can project the above trick to get your card LTF ..

Edit 2(09 July 2023)-Even people have made sbi cards having fee upto 1499 LTF and even higher varriant cards you will get equivalent reward points or miles or annual fee waiver in place of LTF.

Edit 3(15 October 2023)- Even people have made their SBI cashback credit card LTF by their skill of negotiation.

Edit 4-Now a days SBI Cards sometime,closing the card without calling so suggest now dont place request through app by self .Call customer care directly and ask them for LTF/fee waivers or to transfer the call to retention team for doing the same.

Just getting this offer on the banner on clicking it is saying BPCL 499 card with split with the existing card limit. I already have less limit on my SBI cards, will there be any chances of increase in credit limit on opting this pre approved card??
I had this offer for last 6 months. I wish they offered their Octane card. I would have taken that card.

Recently got the Limit enhancement with their new process of taking Anumati.

Read my post in another thread on the same topic.

Obviously they will not process. Don't want to waste a CIBIL hit unnecessarily.

manual LE for most of the banks require CIBIL hit. But LE we can't determine, its upto the bank and when it comes to SBICARD they evaluate based on CIBIL combined credit limits to determine risk ratio and provide. We no way to know.

Yes, very tough to get LE from SBI after getting multiple credit cards from other major banks.

Best way to get good limit on SBI is get the SBI card in beginning days only.

Few questions:

1) What card?
2) How many years old?
3) How much are the annual spends on the card every year?
4) Mode of contact for LTF request?
1. Basic card --> SimplySave
2. Around 5-6 years old
3. I used to spend 50K-1L (using only when SBI offers come mostly)
4. Telephonic conversation with customer care

As yet I paid no renewal fees:
1st year --> spent more than 1L
2nd, 3rd, ... years --> spent around 80k
Last year I spent only 40K --> so called them & asked for do fee waiver --> mistakenly refunded the annual fee twice :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Now, this year in the coming months my card is about to expire so I asked them to make it either LTF or close it. They took the request & made it as LTF.

Note:
This was my 3rd attempt to make it as LTF this year (1st attempt was in January then in July & finally now).
