Pro Tips-

Simple way to make Any basic to mid range SBI card LTF is to "Just raise a closure of card account request through Sbi card app .After few hours you will receive a call to ask a reason for cancellation ,there tell them Either make it Life time free or cancel the card. They will make your Card LTF.Done on my both sbi card and now both are LTF.Service request to make your card LTF is taken as PCT id is to be changed. You can check in service request tracking menu.

Caution:-If you holding multiple cards of SBI then kindly do this process at one card at a time only.Do on other card after at least month. If at any point SBI Card is not agreeing on LTF and offering you Annual Fee waivers only then Accept Fee waivers at that moment and Apply the same trick Again after 1 or 2 months for LTF.
IF ANYONE HAVING ANY SPECEFIC CONCERN THEN DO DM.

Edit 1-If afterall anyone missed the call from retention team then they can simply call customer care and there simply tell them to connect/transfer you call to retention team as i want to discuss regarding my card closure request. They will connect you to their retention team and now there you can project the above trick to get your card LTF ..

Edit 2(09 July 2023)-Even people have made sbi cards having fee upto 1499 LTF and even higher varriant cards you will get equivalent reward points or miles or annual fee waiver in place of LTF.

Edit 3(15 October 2023)- Even people have made their SBI cashback credit card LTF by their skill of negotiation.

Edit 4-Now a days SBI Cards sometime, closing the card without calling so suggest now dont place request through app by self .Call customer care directly and ask them for LTF/fee waivers or to transfer the call to retention team for doing the same.

Alright, I need some guidance. My SBI SimplyClick card renewal is due on 7th August, and (Issuance Date is 8th August) until the last statement generated, I have spent 88 thousand. After that, I made 4 more transactions, bringing the total to around 92-93k, which qualifies for 1 lakh fees reversal.

During my Amazon shopping, I earned 190 points on a total amount of 3594. Now, I'm considering buying an Amazon pay voucher through Amazon instead of using Amex. Will this purchase earn me additional points?

If I plan to close the card, I should make an early payment for the due amount and unbilled amount too right?

However, I'm still short of 3k, and I'm unsure why people load money into any app. Currently, I do UPI transactions using HDFC Tata Neu CC. , I may lose a clear trip voucher worth 1000/2000 thousand if i couldn't spend 1 lakhs spend and I'm not sure if the spend after bill generation date to 7th august will be considered in the calendar year of my card right? why wouldn't it?

Just got off from a call with the SBI retention team. They told me that there is no LTF offer for the Simply Click available at the moment and I should reach out to them once the CC charges are raised for the next year. FYI, I opted for an annual fee reversal a couple of months back hence the card is free for this year anyway.

The annual fee reversal includes GST.

I contacted SBI Cards a month ago to request that my SBI Max Card be made lifetime free or closed after 12 months. However, they informed me to call them after 13 months when my statement is generated, and then they will reverse the charges. Their retention team was firm in arguing against closing the card. I requested for the card to be lifetime free, but they informed me that co-branded cards cannot be made lifetime free, nor can they be upgraded or downgraded. I mentioned that some people have received lifetime free Fbb or OLA SBI cards, but they informed me that the company is no longer a partner, and they have given those customers an option. They also mentioned that they take credit card age seriously. I agreed to have the annual fees reversed, and I called them today to do so. However, I can still see GST charges, and I am unsure when they will be removed. @Rkr

Try after a month for the same...It already free for this year so no harm in waiting for one month and then try again.

See.If at all they reverse or agreed to reverse the A/fee then you will get next 12 month to try for making the card LTF.
First Accept A/fee waiver option if they are giving and then again try for LTF or changing the card as per your choice after a month or two.

Today they reversed my annual fees but I can still see GST fees has not been reversed. Isko time lagta hai kya? Ya sirf only 500Rs reversed hota hai aur upar ka 90rs we have to pay

20 jul - fees imposed & statement generated
24 jul - they reversed but date shows 20 jul

Now I have to pay the amount or leave it?

Thank Youf or this idea. I tried it with 1 of my cards. I have 2 SBI cards (SimplySave & OLA)
I tried with simplysave (Will try Ola in a month or so)
CC called and said "If we provide this LTF, will you continue". She said the request is taken and it should become LTF by tomorrow 29th. The call was on 24th aka Monday.

Pretty cool. Thats how things should be. COmpetition is good for customers.
