Hi All,

I tried my best to convert My DCB to LTF but i was rejected
1) Any criteria to get DCB LTF?
2) My RM is asking me to put request for infinia upgrade after cooling period ,What is cooling period ? Will it be approved ? i don't have So much ITR

So my bad, its not my RM but the guy from CC dept. who probably looks at it directly. I have got mix reviews about him on my college group. (A couple of them didnt hear back from him after repeated reminders).
But if your RM doesnt know about it, then probably he can help.
My HDFC bank RM changes every quarter. Probably because my balance also fluctuates a lot. Sometimes its high, sometimes its close to 0. 🙂

Can you please share your full experience of the process? It would be very helpful to all.
Here are a few points from my experience - I have no idea whether these are specific to my case or apply in general

1. My paid (FYF) DCB card started with 3610... and appeared in Netbanking as DCB DOM
2. Even under their alumni offer, they said it was not possible to convert this card to LTF
3. However, once I moved to another card and then ask for a LTF DCB under the alumni offer, they were happy to issue one (degree copy needed)
4. The LTF DCB card starts with 3608... and appears in Netbanking as DCB INTL

Did you know or check with them what is the difference between DOM & INTL?

I asked their 'premium support' when I called about something else. They did not know the difference and weren't interested so I didn't probe further. I do know that both work for domestic and international transactions so unclear why the names are different (and misleading).

My LTF card starts with 3610. card prefix has nothing to do i guess

I got my hands on the list. You can check your institue's name here.
I got DCB paid, earlier they rejected my application then it automatically got approved (I didn't apply again). Got a mail saying open account to make card LTF like 8 months down the line so I opened an account. Later got another mail from different person that they would make my card LTF and 5k points as well if I open account but I already had an account at that point. Now my institute got added to the list as well. There is another option as well, if you add a biller to your card, I think they convert it to LTF.

What if you close the account afterwards 🫣

  1. I verified my college in the excel sheet mentioned in this post threads.
  2. I then sent an email to Grievance.Redressalcc@hdfcbank.com requesting for LTF DCB card.
  3. First they sent rejection email with out any checks, when I replied stating to read my email properly and consider basis Alumni program
  4. Got reply asking to upload the scanned copy of duly filled upgrade form attached with this thread, degree certificate and latest payslips.

Awaiting response from HDFC now. Will update once I hear back

Thanks to this thread, got Diners Club Black as LTF basis Alumni program.

Just received this confirmation "We acknowledge receipt of the documents and accordingly your existing Regalia credit card has been upgraded to a Life time free Diners Black credit card and the card will be delivered to your mailing address recorded with us within 05 working days. "

what is your current regalia limit when you had placed request for the dcb?

Also Did you send your payslips matching the DCB requirement i.e 1.75 L / month?
