Queries | DCB LTF and Upgrade

This was complicated and embarrassing (for both HDFC and myself, ha ha) but in case it helps:
Grievance Redressal would not convert my paid Diners Black to a LTF card (under the alumni program). They did not say why - only that the card came with an annual fee. Instead they offered me an upgrade to a FYF metal Infinia (my credit limit is 8L). I took this upgrade because - in my opinion - a paid DCB no longer makes sense (given the devaluation + some limitations in acceptance; and no points against renewal fees).
I was uncomfortable with the Infinia because I am not a particularly high spender or a frequent traveler. So I wrote to them asking for clarification on their alumni-LTF program. To my surprise, they replied offering me a DCB LTF as a downgrade from the metal Infinia. Again, no explanation was provided about why this had become possible (just a few weeks after their previous email).
I took the downgrade to the LTF DCB but then, within ten days, faced two rejections of the Diners card in a tier-1 city. I realized that the DCB could not be my primary card since it could fail on important occasions (I have 3 credit cards and plan to close one so my primary card needs to 'work').
I therefore went back to a FYF Infinia (Visa). The card works everywhere and their support team is prompt and helpful so...
Thanks, Bro - so it seems they will move to LTF DCB from another variant but will not do paid DCB to LTF DCB.. kinda weird.. I have achieved the year's 5L limit, so I will keep it for now and will downgrade next year as planning to move to magnus

No, its only for new cards, for some weird reason (they cite some internal policies, but its in face, they care more about new customers then existing) they do not covert existing DCB to LTF .

Does NIT Warangal come under Alumni DCB LTF?

I am holding on to HDFC Regalia for the past 2 years for an upgrade to Millenia.
My question is will they provide Diner's black card Lifetime free??
1. Should I apply for Diner's black card separately (Will HDFC approve a second credit card for me??
OR
2. Should I apply for an upgrade from my Regalia??
Please share with me the number of the Panchkula Guy who knows about this offer.

But according to this article I fulfil criteria for Diner's black. But can I get Diners black really lifetime free?

Sharing the number won't help because these people are only concerned about their local clients. I would suggest you to go to the bank and ask for upgrade. The existing CL should be more than 8L and take home salary more than 2.5 or 2.25L (not very sure). Go to some good big branch near to you meet the Imperia RM they can definitely get it approved.
They are not offering Diners for now what she told me yesterday. Even I went to upgrade my brother's regalia to infinia.
Last year lot of people where given Infinia LTF based on current CL and spend history. IIM Alumnus also get DCB lifetime free.
Not just IIM alumnis but a few other top MBA colleges like ISB and FMS.
Have seen 4 people holding LTF DCBs in office
Yes IIM was just an example what I knew. I think ISB guys also get.

My CL on my Regalia is 4.5 lakh. (I still regret why I took Regalia first when both cards were offered 2 yrs ago) After one year of using I got Regalia. Its more than one year of regalia and I am stuck with the same limit. I dont hold an imperia account, but salary is >1.75L. Will the imperia managers entertain me?
Yes they should, and if you dont have imperia you should ask for imperia account. Imperia and Preferred agents are same generally.
