RBI complaint on Standard Chartered Bank

Is the RBI complaint open or closed? Have you received the 15800 in your account.

As per my knowledge, once an order is given nothing can be done unless it was closed under appealable clause. You have to go to court.
I received amount on very same day on which SCB agreed on compensation. Further details, were received from RBI side.... the exact calculation and stuff..

Complaint is open... based on past experience its gonna take a while before they formally close.
RBI just asked me to respond within a day if I have any objection, which I did.

So I'm sending this email to

Dear Standard chartered Bank

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to request the removal of an additional CIBIL inquiry associated with my recent application for a sandal chartered. My application number is INxxxxxxxx, and I applied on 28th October, last 4 digit XXXX.

I would appreciate it if you could remove the additional inquiry from my CIBIL report, as it may negatively impact my credit score.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter. Please let me know if you require any further information from my side.

Best regards,

Make sure you attach a recent CIBIL report.

Send an email, they hardly ever respond. So sleep for a while, then file a case with RBI and get the compensation. The more you wait, the larger the refund.

Mention the enquiry date(s), CIBIL report control number and date. Attach the CIBIL report.

I can understand your anger against SCB but if you call them "Sandal Chartetered" in your mail they will definitely not remove the duplicate enquiry, may even make an additional enquiry 🤣🤣🤣

even better for @vaibhav111 . He can get additional compensation for that additional query 😂

Not necessarily. Using the compensation framework, bank can harass customers legitimately :winking-face:
  1. Make a CIBIL enquiry
  2. Infinite loop
    1. On receiving complaint, get it removed within 30 days
    2. Make another CIBIL query

P.S. good for you guys, I don't work for SCB 😀 😀
I'm damm sure that bank can't do CIBIL enquiry without customer consent... double enquiry is different thing tho...

TBH, bank can do pretty much anything and its hard to make it do anything

Bank checks your cibil when you apply for Loan/cards. They do not do this on adhoc basis. This is what I have heard.
You are yet to see the magic of SC and even worse SBI.

You apply for card in Jan, there will be CIBIL enquiry is Jan.
Your application will still remain open, there will be CIBIL enquiry in Feb, March followed by card rejection or approval.
