RBI complaint on Standard Chartered Bank

@vijay.vj @sjmajumder @TrueColours i have send email to Head.Service@sc.com 6 days ago no reply for removal of additional cibil inquiry and wanted to confirm if it cc is LTF/FYF but agent isn't replying either so to whom should i email at to confirm my card if FYF/LTF?
  1. If you wish, send a reminder after 7 days from your initial mail. (I generally don't).
  2. If you get an unsatisfactory response/no response within 15 days escalate to PNO (principal.nodalofficer@sc.com).
  3. If you get an unsatisfactory response/no response within 30 days complaint to RBIO.

* Observed two enquiries on Jun'22 and wrote mail about removal with cibil report.
- CS responded after 15 days, that it will be removed in next 7 working days.
* After 7 working days, sent mail again with another cibil report about status.
- CS responded after 18 days, that it will be removed in next 90 working days.
* After apprx. 100 working days, sent mail again with another cibil report about status.
- CS responded after 10 days and asked about details and delayed with further questions.
- CS processed new ticket after 5 days and said it will be removed in next 90 working days.
* After apprx. 120 working days, sent mail again with another cibil report about status.
- CS responded and said it will be removed in next 90 days.

------- Total time with bank: 9 months

* Opened Ombudsman complaint on Apr'23
- SC responded after 3 months and said it will be removed next 30 days.
- Finaly enquiry removed.

-------- Total time with Ombudsman: 4 months

Btw, received compensation of 750rs. for the trouble on Sep'23.
* Escalated to Ombudsman about fair and delay caused by bank.
- Ombudsman said after 1 month that it will be the max that bank and they decided to provide (I kept 10k for delay, 10k for mental agony).
- Complaint got closed and marked as 'Facilitation'.

Things have changed now. Effective 26 April 2024, compensation is Rs. 100/day for delay beyond 30 days. Now either they will act fast or @vaibhav111 will enjoy a good compensation 😀

How do raise a complain to RBI ombudsman for compensation against SCB?

I closed my SC card in 2021, but SC still shows the card as active on my Cibil. They have also shown last update date as Aug'24 with 0 dues on Cibil. Last year around Sept'23, I had emailed them but did not get a reply. I also forgot about it.
Then In Sept'24, I have emailed SC support again, and they replied that it would be done, but on checking today's Cibil, it still shows.

I now want to escalate this and seek compensation from them for not doing anything for over a year. How do I go about it?
Is there an email ID for RBI that I can send a email with all the past email proofs and my Cibil snapshot or is it online?

Ping them on twitter, They will reach out to you in 2 days. You can ask them to confirm the status on email.

TBH, I kinda feel SC rewards platinum card is useless mostly. Hardly any offers

sc doesn't have any offers in my past 4 years with them.
 
If you just want to know and since you are not getting response on email, the preferred option is to call up customer care. Once they confirm FYF/LTF you can ask them to reply on mail. (btw which card is this?)

SC is like Citi, AMEX.. where even if charged and doesn't spend you can cancel it within that month and get refund.

download app, login - doesn't count as activation. Activation must be related to card, either PIN or transaction settings or IVR through activation etc, which involves card number and OTP most of the time. Its not activated, IMO.

If you have not set a PIN it won't be considered as activation. But since it is FYF, even if you activate you have 12 months to close it without paying any charges.

sc doesnt have any promotional offer nor I did missed single one in last 4 years.

SC, Indus, IDFC, RBL...

sc smart required, 1.25L to redeem as cashback. You need to spend at any cost otherwise your cashback 0 because you can't redeem.

Funny thing, annual fee waiver required only 1.2L spends. So, no point for LTf unless you plan on to spend 1.25L multiple years, which suggest any existing card milestone benefits works and provide same 2%.

Platinum rewards has same 360 rewards that people complaining with Ultimate. Required min. 5000 points to redeem otherwise your reward % is 0 because its just lying there without redemption.

need to spend 1.5L on either dining or fuel as 5x to eligible for crappy reward that provides at 5000 points.

No 10% offers, food app offers, flight/hotel booking offer, gyftr accelarator, ecommerce offers etc.

Do share the offer that you missed because not having sc. I need to spend somewhere, will check it. Tq

In that case better to stay away from sc bank credit cards.

Spend 1.2 l to redeem for sc smart is very strange.

Not sure with 10% offer but I remember I saw sc bank promocode in zomato or swiggy.

I think it is digismart,
Any positives on digismart?
I do see 49 monthly fee but is it worth ?
