RBIO: Got compensation of 10,000 from Axis Bank

Well all I can say is that the RBI ombudsman for your pincode or area/region is very lenient/pro customer. Because no one has so much success DESPITE FAR MORE INJUSTICE DONE against them by the banks. I need your help with A LOT OF INJUSTICE done to me by various banks. Can I DM you with the details please? Some of the things some banks have done are outright illegal and mean.

Plus you seem to have an amazing understanding of rules and how to CORRECTLY approach RBI ombudsman at the right time

Do you know the EXACT same thing happened to me? I had 2 Axis cards: Kiwi and My Zone and then Neo was denied to me with no reason given, just 3 CIBIL enquiries every 3 months. When I complained to RBI that despite 3 times, they were not revealing any reason, Axis played a dirty game. They didn't do ANYTHING for 6 months AFTER that. Finally I was offered Axis Ace in Axis Mobile app pre-approved. As soon as I opted for Axis Ace, they replied to the RBI ombudsman complaint giving the reason that "Customer already has 3 cards. Therefore as per policy we cannot give 4th card". But before Ace, I had tried for 9 months to get Neo and at that time I had only 2 cards, so Axis played this dirty lying game.

That b***ch RBI ombudsman sided in the bank's favor again and closed the complaint. No compensation just for 3 CIBIL enquiries bringing down my CIBIL score and yet no transparency on reason for rejection.

I made another complaint against Axis for not providing reason for rejecting CC application.

I applied for LTF Neo Rupay card. It was rejected. Asked PNO for the reason, same crappy response, internal policy. I replied again clearly highlighting in my mail RBI clause with circular number and date. I gave them enough opportunity to come clean but NO. They kept saying the same thing.

So, I decided to go ahead and make another complain to RBIO. After complaining to RBIO Axis PNO replied within a week stating I already have 3 Axis CCs and hence the application was rejected as Axis does not give more than 3 CCs to anyone.

Today morning received the closure mail from RBIO. Quickly checked the card transactions and found the credit of Rs. 10,000 in my Indian Oil Premium Card on 31st December. The description is mentioned as "Write off" but I believe that's just the description and doesn't mean anything else. However, I will still write to PNO to change the description.

Fantacy, ignore: Why the hell BO can't wait for few more days & ask for closure statement from complainant before closing the case especially in non appealable caluse, even though they know how banks blatantly lie infront of them, even after getting penalised every now and then.

Atleast they could have made a call, that we instructed Axis to Credit compensation of ₹10k, have you received it? We are going to close your case under this clause after which you can't appeal, anything more to say???

Bank can even put a date from the past and then can credit the amount, stating see we have credited timely. They even don't send txns alerts in such scenarios.🤡


And why compensation is getting credited in Credit Card A/c, why not bank A/c? 👀 Same thing happened in the case of HSBC also.

@sjmajumder So, are you thinking to ask to credit the excess balance into your SA, using RBI guidelines? 😂 Or don't want to proceed because of the experience (termination of Cardholdership) got from the HSBC?

they were to give me 2000rs in 2023 jan

they only gave me 589 x 3.. they have mentioned they paid 1178 + 589 x 2 ... which is wrong i have all proofs that i hadn't got that in time... so bcuz of the delay i wanted compensation for the no of days they delayed in paying me ... but it got closed :/ so now how to raise issue again mail them with proof and then contact rbi ombudsman or directly i can raise with the rbi ob?

You need to ask all these questions to the BO 😀

I don't think in today's world you can do backdated transactions once day end operation is done.
And why compensation is getting credited in Credit Card A/c, why not bank A/c? 👀 Same thing happened in the case of HSBC also.
This is absolutely ridiculous. They should call me and ask me for account details and then credit in my account.

By the end of the month there will be no credit balance as I use this card for buying fuel and swiggy offers (30%). Already there is less than 5K left.

My recent experience against Axis for delayed payment of compensation was closed stating "has already been dealt by the Ombudsman". So, I am not very hopeful in the matter, however you can go ahead and make a fresh complaint.
 
You need to ask all these questions to the BO

Even BO can't reply, they are not regulated/monitored/observed properly, the order/ instruction should be made from DBO or governor or Court or by making changes in master direction/ law governing BO scheme...

Yes, exactly. By doing so, complainant gets compelled to use the money through their card only and the bank gets benefited. 🤡

Please share. I strongly believe it is not allowed. While everything can be done from backend, I don't think anybody really gets a direct access to the DB with admin rights.

Two contravening statements. You strongly believe it is not allowed. But later, accepted, everything can be done from back-end, so backend team is not a part of their organisational structure?

I am not talking that we have access to do so. But bank can, that's doesn't mean who is passing enteries, that's their internal course of operation.
 
Does anyone know about the clause wherein customer can decide whether to activate, remove or modify (switch between MAD and full due) autodebit of credit card payment taken from savings account ? Federal bank is imposing this by default for all federal credit card+ savings account holders and refusing to cancel the autodebit even after multiple escalation stating auto debit can only be modified and not cancelled.
