RBIO: Received compensation of Rs. 20,000 from Axis Bank

simply put, he thinks what you're doing is unethical/immoral
Well, actually what the banks are doing is unethical/immoral. If there is a rule that bank needs to disclose the reason for rejection of a CC why do they refuse to do so? Is it etical/moral on the bank's part?

Looked up malum prohibitum in Google, couldn't understand your question. Maybe you can rephrase in simple language.
If my guess is correct, he meant to ask, that according to Cardholdership aggreement and other laws of land, are you strictly abiding/ complying with it?

In other words, haven't you ever breached/ commited offence while using services & product of banks, especially credit card?

yes brother, that's the sum of it. Strict compliance. Is it one way or both?

Malum prohibitum: act is illegal if law prohibits, but people don't follow strictly, because they think it's not malum in se.

Malum in se: inherently wrong or immoral acts.

Malum prohibitum is an act that is not inherently immoral but is prohibited by statute. That's why we don't care. For example, traffic rules, white collar crime.

If it is unethical and immoral then why RBI is awarding a compensation to OP. In India, we need people like OP who can take banks for the task so that banks should think 100 times before fooling common people. In my opinion, OP is doing a great job
Of course he is doing great job. Teaching them a lesson. It's not immoral. He seeks compliance which is 👍.

why do you want to know whether he was strictly complying with a 50 page document nobody ever reads?
Because I went through his thread I am on spree and I have encountered multiple issues similar to his but I just overlooked them.

unfortunately there will always be ppl who will question others who are fighting if they are doing 100% everything correctly.

Both the ways but it's more linent towards a cardholder, though it depends upon the circumstances.

I feel you're comparing the mass of the Earth with your body at an irrelevant time.

Since Axis hasn’t found anything wrong during the usage of the card, nor notified him ever upto now, even if Axis presents something against him, like his card being used by a friend, he has done this and that, it can’t justify/nullify the regulatory directions/guidelines made to safeguard customers' intrest, applicable to RE.

All are free to think whatever they want. 🕊️

That's all, don't want to get involved into it further. OP is supposed to reply the raised questions, which was meant to him.

I have nothing against op.
I just asked if he ever breaches any covenant.

Laws are consumer centric.

It's a free country and he is allowed to excercise his rights. Just like @quino disliking my comments. Brother go on become the moderator and delete my account.

t's a free country
we have another brother similar to you here on TF @2025. talks big words about democracy & free speech. but doesn't follow forum rules. 2 of his posts got deleted by mods till now.

you say free country & then raise issue with my activity. lol.

Yep, I knew bro, you're just asking the OP, his perspective whether he himself following everything. He is offline, right now, most likely, he will answer you, when he will be back.
I just asked if he ever breaches any covenant.
It's very hard to say. 👀
Intentionally or unintentionally we casually ignore or do somethings, albeit, ignorantia juris non excusat, we don't encounter the things just because no action is taken. It becomes causual.
