RBIO: Received compensation of Rs. 20,000 from Axis Bank

After ending my spree in May I lodged 2 fresh complaints against Axis and HSBC in September.

HSBC has paid me Rs. 1000 but the complaint is still open as it was done arbitrarily by HSBC. They simply added 1000 to my CC account and sent me a mail stating that a compensation of Rs. 1000 has been paid for the delay in dispatch of the addon card. Will update when the case is resolved.

This thread is focused on my Axis Bank complaint.

Axis bank blocked my Forex card without any intimation. Below is my complaint to Axis Bank PNO:

Those of you who know me, know for sure that I won't spare them so easily. So, I logged a complaint with RBIO on 7th September. While complaining to RBIO, I increased my compensation demand from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 50,000.

Received mail from RBIO on 30th October for conciliation meeting on 11th November. Then got a call from the lady of the local branch of Axis Bank on 6th November with a request to consider a compensation of Rs. 20,000 instead of my demanded amount of Rs. 50,000. I agreed on condition of immediate settlement and without the need to attend the conciliation meeting. They asked for 5 days to settle the amount and confirmed the same through official mail. Intimated RBIO by mail that we have reached an agreement and he may please call off the meeting. Axis bank has also done the same. Received below closure mail from RBIO this morning.

Now if we get news of some devaluation, we know who's responsible.
Axis will recover 20k from devaluation now 🥺

Disappointing update:

BO closed complaint for late payment saying complaint already addressed and closed under non-appealable clause. This is ridiculous, BO himself mentioned in the order that I can raise another complaint referring to the previous complaint if payment not made as per commitment within 5 working days.

This is not so cool.
He's jealous perhaps 🥸

Several times, I have mentioned the modus operandi of BO and again it got proved.

In October, I got Preapproved HDFC Regalia Gold offer.
I applied for the same , however they made 2 enquiries ( 1 on application date and other on approval date).
Complained to CC then to PNO , they rejected my request of duplicate enquiry removal.
At last made a complaint on RBI BO , received apology email from HDFC along with successful removal of duplicate enquiry and Compensation of Rs.2500 in the form of Voucher of my choice. ( Apay, flipkart etc)

We feel good when this type of news comes

Similar thing happened to for a Kotak bank CC where they closed the credit card without any reason or notification. The cards stopped working and when I looked in the app it said card is closed.
But I didnt know that we can raise complaints with RBIO. I tired to raise a complaint with Kotak itself to which they replied
"Please be informed that basis internal credit checks and banks guidelines. Your Kotak credit card has been blocked and same cannot be activated."

I wish I had seen this thread earlier.

How long has it been? Check the date of reply from Kotak and let me know.

I made another complaint against Axis. Not so hopeful on this one. The complaint is against not providing reason for rejecting CC application.

I applied for LTF Neo Rupay card. It was rejected. Asked PNO for the reason, same crappy response, internal policy in spite of clearly highlighting in my mail RBI clause with circular number. After complaining to RBIO they replied within a week stating I already have 3 Axis cards and hence the application was rejected as Axis does not give more than 3 CCs to anyone. The info is still wrong I hold 6 Axis CCs (IndianOil Premium, Rewards, LIC Signature, My Zone, Airtel, IndianOil).

Irony is what, you know even when basic eligibility is not meet, they do hard enquiry in CIBIL, some of them do twice and thrice.

Great, keep us posted, if there regulation to give main reason why they always quote vauge reason saying policy and all. And even given wrong info, shows deficiency in their service. Have they mentioned anywhere about the limit of cards in eligibility? Isn't it supposed to be disclosed. 🙂

Kya karein ye sab hote hi rehte hain, aage bhi karte rahega, jab tak...
