SBI Card app Locked

Hi Team,

When I try to login to my sbi card app it says it's locked and signed out due to security reasons.

Did any of you guys face this and how to unlock this.

I have sent mail for the same

I called twice. First lady said it can't be unlocked as card is blcoked due to internal policies

Second lady said due to wrong documents submission the card is blocked n I need to pay the money and she told me to apply again for another card

did you receive and email or sms confirming card is blocked or closed ? if not received email them and fight till RBIO if you receive get confirmation over email why did they block and incase block ask for reissuance.

any specific reason ? they must have blocked as safety method by monitoring team and shall unblock or reissue card

They must have flagged mcc as dubious. They have the right to block card if they find anything suspicious. Algorithm is designed in such a way.
If we approach RBIO also they will not unblock it.

Don't think so. There so many SBI CB holders here who've used their card on Park+ on numerous occasions yet didn't get their card blocked even once.

I know 2 people who got new cards issued free of cost after SBI block, you are bound to lose 100% of battles you dont fight

The OP of the thread I've shared did Win in the end and got his card re-instantiated.

Nothing was communicated via call or email. When I tried to login it said account is locked out n call cc to unlock

It is better to have formal conversations like these with the bank via email. This way, you would have proof if needed in the future to file a complaint with the RBIO.

Yeah they said in mail it will take 2 working days for them to come back

If you go through old threads on the forum, you'd find so many people's post stating that their SBI CB got blocked after a transaction on Amazon, etc. due to suspicious transaction. But mostly in a day or two their card got unblocked because it was a temporary block, not a permanent one like OP mentioned here -

They are saying that some document verification failed and hence card is blocked permanently and I need to pay outstanding amount.

I asked them how can they approve the card without verification and also there was no communication on the docs that is wrong

For this agent said I need to apply for another card

Yeah but two customer care rep told different ans so not sure which one is right

Will wait till I get reply I email. Mean while will check in bank today

Got the card after lot of difficulties due to digi locker issue as it was down and now this problem.

I suspect the digilocker issue might have caused this cos

Whatever the reason may be. They were satisfied with the documents available with them at the time of approval. That is all that matters.

Just keep escalating the matter until you get satisfactory resolution or compensation.
